IRS Admits Tax Code Is Too Complex To Enforce

IRS Admits Tax Code Is Too Complex To Enforce. Not to mention they make up stuff and if you want to fight it it’s going to cost you a fortune in legal fees to go to court.

  • The IRS is to complicated. Why not just disband the damn agency? Go to a national sales tax. That way if you buy something you pay the tax. No waivers, no exemptions, no special rebate. If you buy something, you pay the tax. Then watch and listen to all the dip shits free loaders bitch and complain because they are having to actually pay their fair share.

    • Because the federal governmnet will not do away with the income tax completely. And if we allow both, we will be taxed to hell and back...much worse than we already are. So unless you can get the 16th amendment repealed, the fair tax is not going to happen. Better off and easier to implement Ted's plan of a flat tax and abolishing the IRS.

    • I will repeat myself:
The only problem with the national sales tax, is it’s about 2.5 times what the flat tax is proposed to be.

  • If everybody paid the same rate, we could lose a couple of million government slackers, would rapidly reduce the confusion.

  • One other comment--we should move to a national sales tax and eliminate all income taxes. It's nobody's damn business what anybody else makes, and that includes the government--it's none of their business, either.

  • Two suggestions that would result in immediate changes in the tax code. 1) Pass a law that all government employees (especially congress) must prepare their tax returns themselves BY HAND. 2) Repeal withholding so that every taxpaying American citizen has to write the federal and state governments a check every month for their taxes just like an electric bill.

Both of those changes would result in IMMEDIATE reform.

  • It's also too complex to comply with. Just more reasons to go flat & abolish the IRS. BTW, the death of Prince will become a political story. In the form of death taxes. Prince never really set up any estate planning, & the state of MN & the feds are going to get the majority of what he left behind. Which is theft.

  • "Too complex to enforce"? Let's fire 95% of the IRS employees and go to the honor system. No, that might mean a precipitate drop in revenue, which would imperil the spending habits of Congress.
