  • This was a total nightmare for our small company. The couple of people that would have been affected were dead set against it when they found out they would have basically have to punch a time clock when coming and going. No more running a kid to the doctor while on the job, no more 2 hour lunches while on the clock. No more coming in late, leaving early, paid snow days, etc. They said, couldn't we just ignore it.
    Everyone at our company is overjoyed that this turd may go away. The effing government couldn't run a pay toilet but want to tell everyone else how to run theirs.

  • Although I would have benefited from that rule, IT IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL for the national government to dictate ANY WAGES!

  • If this were such an issue, there would be a simple solution to it.
    If you want to be paid overtime, don't take a salaried job.
    If enough people refuse to take jobs that don't pay overtime, employers would have to pay it.
    Where does the government get off telling people how to run their business?
