Standing, sovereign immunity and 'No duty to protect'.
Those are the three main weapons of Progressives to blunt any legal threat to their insane stance that we should trust the govt with all aspects of our life, but the govt cannot be held liable when it ultimately fails.
Sovereign Immunity is their catch all defense. It always gets them out of accepting responsibility.
One of my Brothers in Law sued a big city FD for failing to properly respond to a fire in which he was severely burned. Sovereign Immunity got them off scot free, and left him scarred for life.
Right. They have no duty to protect, but want to take away our rights for self protection.
This is a good start.
I doubt this will go very far, San Franfreakshow and the feds will offer an obscene amount of cash to the Steinle family to quietly go away. The only thing that would come out in a trial is the incompetence and idiocy of government officials, which everyone already knows, so they should take the money. It won't bring their daughter back but at least the family will be able to remember her in style.
YAAASSSS! Sue them... sue them ALL every single one: the mayor, the mayor's deputy, the district attorney, ICE/The Feds for not doing what they were supposed to do, the sheriff, the constable... I don't give a whip sue all of them.
