Michigan Supreme Court strikes down Gov. Whitmer’s virus orders

Michigan Supreme Court strikes down Gov. Whitmer’s virus orders. Ding dong the witch is dead. Well, she isn’t put her power just got flushed. “The Michigan Supreme Court on Friday struck down months of orders by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer that were aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus, saying she drew authority from a 1945 law that is unconstitutional.”

“The decision is an extraordinary development in a monthslong conflict between Whitmer, a Democrat, and the Republicans who control the Legislature and have complained that they’ve been shut out of major orders that have restricted education, the economy and health care.”

“Coincidentally, the court’s opinion emerged on the same day that Whitmer’s critics submitted more than 539,000 signatures in a bid to repeal the 1945 law.

  • Watching this "show" from a distance but having loved one directly impacted by her WACKED out ideas, this is a preview of what is to come if plugs and the ho are elected on 11/3/20. All those who love your freedom damn sure better wake up and block the communist from taking over. All these blm and antifa ass clowns don't realize what will happen to the front line dumbasses. They will find out what it means to be useful idiots!!! just before the door opens up and they drop with a sudden stop after a 3 feet.

    • If you lived here in Michigan you would be exposed to a constant stream of public service commercials where the governor herself is doing the voiceover, propaganda bullshit about masks and how we wear them for each other, yada yada yada. It's nauseating. Doesn't she have anything better to do with her time than do voiceovers for public service commercials?

  • Look, I'm glad they finally made a ruling and I'm glad they came down on the side of putting this dictatorial governor in her place, but the Michigan Supreme Court can suck my... well, you know. They disgust me. They have been sitting on this case for ever. (The underlying case was filed in May.) This ruling should have been, and could have been, made the same day the case reached them. What else have these weasels got to do that is more important than the unconstitutional lockdown of every citizen in the state? WHAT ELSE? You are the highest court in the state and you couldn't find time to rule on THIS, the most important case you will see in your lifetime!?

    Bastards. Cowards. Assholes.

And now they say, even though the governor has been unconstitutionally making rules, her rules can stay in effect for ANOTHER 21 DAYS? You have got to be shitting me! These weasels have got less backbone than a common slug in my backyard.

Here's the thing, these cowards might NEVER have ruled on this if a federal court hadn't forced them to. There's another almost-identical case brought to them directly by Republican state legislators that they have ignored completely. Don't ask me what they have to do that is more important. But a federal judge finally said to them, "Hey, Cowardly Weasels, I need some guidance on this case: does the governor have constitutional authority to extend her own emergency powers or not? I need an answer NOW." So they finally had to make a decision.

    • Where did Herr Whitmer get the idea that she's allowed 21 more days of her bullshit? I haven't seen of what legal means she claims 21 days. Did the court grant her that or she is just assuming it?

Dicktators (sic) have a hard time giving up their power.

      • I got the impression it was the justices who said 21 more days. Don't ask me how it makes sense wherever it came from. If her directives have been unconstitutional, how in the world can anybody justify letting them stand for 21 more days? Basically what the Deep State is saying is that the constitutional rights of the citizens of Michigan don't count for shit, and it's more important to give Herr Whitless three weeks to figure out how to consolidate her power than to give free citizens of America their rights.

I wonder how these justices would feel if someone wrongly threw them in prison and then a judge ruled their imprisonment was unconstitutional... "but we're gonna let them keep you locked up for 21 more days." That might finally pound the point home to them.

        • If Michiganlanders had any brains, they wouldn’t have elected Ms Purple Paisley Power Pants From Penny’s.
