  • My dad was born and raised in Hamtramck (yes, he's Polish). He took us back there in the early 90's. I had to yell at him to get back in the car as he was trying to show us his boyhood home. Place looked like Beirut. We were definitely not being looked at as if we were welcome to be there.

  • This is shit law at work. The fools in Hamtramck have gotten just what they deserve. Its time to flush the sewers and send all the turds back to where every they came from.

  • What happened to the Polish who used to be the majority in Hamtramck? Place was a dump 30 years ago when I worked in Detroit. Must be a lot worse now. Fitting for Muslims though.

    • People move, cities change. I always show my age when I call Hamtramck Polish. Place is Muslim now, and Southfield is black (I think, unless they changed again). When I went to college every single person from Southfield was Jewish--twenty years later my nephew was working there and raving about all the beautiful black woman. Southfield was where all the middle-class and wealthy black people had moved to get out of shithole Detroit. The neighborhood where I owned my first house and raised my daughters was Dutch Christian Reformed when I moved there--they actually came and asked me to not mow my grass on Sunday. Now I drive through and it's almost 100% Hispanic. It all makes me feel old, like nothing is the same as when I was young. Although, frankly, I think ethnicities are less isolated, neighborhoods less homogenous, than when I was young, which is a good thing.

  • The muslim "experiment" has been an utter failure here in the U.S. as well as other western nations. It is time to shift gears and rid ourselves of it beginning with domestic terrorist groups like the muslim brotherhood and cair. Besides being a false religion of hate and intolerance, the muslim faith has no separation of church and state - they are one in the same and will NEVER be compatible with our constitutional form of government or our freedoms.

  • Didnt understand a word the guy was saying. I would suggest that Hamtramck just get it over and declare whatever the hell these people speak as the official language and disallow English. What a shithole this place must be.

    • The city is in receivership which means the Muslims already drove the place into bankruptcy. Now they're just spreading the icing on the cake.
