For Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, being “respectful of our football team” trumped the right of Steelers offensive tackle Alejandro Villanueva to show respect for the national anthem.

Okay, now the quarterback says he wishes they hadn't stayed in the tunnel during the national anthem. So the Steelers have a guy who did the right thing wishing he hadn't and a guy who did the wrong thing wishing he'd done the right thing. If they were trying to achieve team unity, they failed.

Clearly Tomlinson doesn't understand Villanueva's hierarchy--God, Country, Unit. Or in this case, God, Country, Team.
If there "coach" really believe what he was saying. he could've tried to stop the player from going outside. Vilanneueva has stones, coach chiicken plucker does not.
Tomlin needs to take a look at Villanueva who served his country and stood in harms way all the while Tomlin and the other punk asses were sitting back in a comfy chair. The nfl has gone to far as have the steelers. If the Rooney's have any stones and back bone. They will give Tomlin and ultimatum. Apologize to Alejandro Villanueva or resign today.
Villanueva showed class, the rest of the cowardly bastards for Pittsburg should their punk asses to include the coaching staff. Time to make the piss poor displays painful. The only way to do that is to fire them all.
