Our Views: Vacation or not, a hurting Louisiana needs you now, President Obama. At least GW Bush did a flyover. Obama can’t be dragged away from the golf course. Disgusting behavior for a president, but what else is new? Imagine the outcry if a Republican president did this?

  • I wasn't a Bush fan but at least he cut his vacation short to head back to DC and authorized resources for LA within four days.

    Oblahblah just says eff it and keeps on golfing. Not that you will hear about Mr. Teflon slacking off on the national news or anything. He'll take time from a break to make a statement about some criminal being killed by a white cop but something like this? Nah.

    His boys at the NWS effed up when Sandy set its sights on the east coast, too. It wasn't "scientifically" a hurricane because it didn't meet all the criteria and didn't issue a warning. Tell that to my sister and brother-in-law, whose house flooded in central NJ. Tell that to everyone on the Jersey shore that were essentially wiped out. Stupid MFers.

    Again, not a fan of Bush or all of his decisions by any means but he was ten times the leader this horse's ass is. I thought Bush was an idiot but he showed real leadership after 9/11.

  • No we do not, as part of the cajun navy assisting people during this flood, 2nd time in 6 months, the last thing we need is a photo-op that draws resources from this flood. FEMA and the Red Cross did an A+ with the first flood and they are doing a great job with this one.

  • I still defend the flyover. Da hell else could he do? He did as much as he could BEFOREHAND, during and after. AT LEAST he showed concern. It didn't matter, still evil. He was in the area and flew over to survey, very likely pray. Landing anywhere near would have been dangerous and moronic. What was he supposed to do? Drop with a parachute to fight the storm Sharknado style?

    Obama DOES NOTHING, not even show concern, the media is a-ok with it. That's the kind of bullshit that makes me mad.

    • Absolutely right...what else could Bush do? If he landed, that would have taken a whole lotta cops away from helping the locals to protect the president. It was the best he COULD do. But the scum sucking media drove him into the ground over it, and NOTHING is said about Obama not being able to tear himself away from the links. Kinda like when he had to make a statement about the beheading of James Foley, to look all presidential...and was on the golf course 3 minutes later, yuckin' it up with his buddies. What a POS this guy is...
