Seattle is certainly one of the places on my "Do not visit/Do not move to" list!
When I was in Coos Bay I was picked to be a boarding officer for the 17th CG district. I had to take a lot of training in international law and domestic laws regarding laws on our waters. I took that training at Bremerton Island and had to go back every 6 weeks or so because international shipping laws were constantly changing. When class was over a few of us would get together and take a cab into Seattle. It was a great city back then! Clean, the people were great, good food, great beer joints. Just a nice place. It's a shame to see what a shithole it has become.
Supply economics at work. Amazon and Starbuck did not want to pay any more taxes and they let it be known. When two of the biggest liberal companies are calling bull shit on taxes, the fools have gone to far.
Progressives firmly believe the Law of Supply and Demand should be declared unconstitutional.
I didn't take long for the idiots to back down. Amazon has about 45,000 employees in the Seattle area and they contribute hundreds of millions to their economy. These liberal idiots have to learn that more taxes is not the answer, better city management is the answer to solving city problems.
