SITE CHANGE COMING TODAY OR TONIGHT.OK, it’s done. We hate change as much as anyone, but the software this site runs on is over 10 years old. Due to updates of other software, it will no longer function if we update to the latest versions. As such, we have to change the look. We created a test environment and everything seems to work OK when it’s all up to date. If you have any problems please let us know in the comments section.
Changes.
- All widgets will be in the right-hand column (latest comments, latest posts, Twitter feed, Meta.
- The link to get to the comments section will be to the left of the post under the author’s name.
- The “See Comments” button has to be hit to see the comments (we did this already to try and speed things up).
- The Tag Cloud is now at the bottom (if anyone cares).
- Categories and Tags now show to the left below the author’s name. Now that they’re visible we’ll quit duplicating.
- We ran this by a few friends who feel it is OK with them.

The login button was a little hard to find, but I'm optimistic about remembering where it is in the future. Carry on...
I moved it up near the top so it's easier to find. Thanks for noting this.
Thanks for moving it; one less new thing I have to keep track of. This kind of service is never found on the big blogs, and I appreciate it. Keep up the good work!
You're welcome. I want happy readers.
Look good and thank you for all the work. If I have any suggestion, it's that there seems to be too much white space at the top. But I know sometimes the system creates white space you can't prevent so maybe that's just the way it has to be.
Thank you. I agree about the space at the top, at the moment I can't change it. I thought about making the logo larger to eat some of that up. Let me know what you think.
I think you said you went to PHP? Which means CSS, right? (Look at me, I only half know what I'm talking about.) Empty space at the top of new sections seems to be a constant problem with CSS. Drives me crazy.
I just put a large logo in. Let me know what you think.
Yuck. Too big and looks blurry on my screen. Doesn't really fix the empty white space above the IHTM cap and menu bar anyway.
It's back to the way it was. I felt the same, that's why I didn't use it to begin with.
