Supreme Court Rules on Biden’s Vaccine Mandates. It appears we have some real legal midgets on SCOTUS. This basically seems to say that private employees get the Constitution and workers at federally funded health care facilities get phucked because the Consitution evidently doesn’t apply to them. What a joke. Justice Roberts should hang his head in shame.
The separate ruling on vaccine requirements for healthcare workers at facilities receiving federal funding through Medicare and Medicaid was decided 5-4. Justices Neil Gorsuch, Clarence Thomas, Amy Coney Barrett and Samuel Alito dissented.

Technically, they didn't rule on the Constitutionality of the mandate. They only ruled as to whether or not Congress gave either OSHA or the CMS any power to enforce a mandate. Which they ruled the CMS could attach the mandate to any payout they make but OSHA had no such power. More lawsuits have been filed.
So should kavanaugh.

Roberts and Kavanaugh have no will to stand up for the US Constitution. Kavanaugh of all people should be fighting like HELL to have the Constitution mean exactly what it says. As for Roberts, Coulter got this one right.

I have a different theory, one I've mentioned and written about before. Democrats will not allow a Protestant Christian on the court, even though Protestantism is still the main religious faith in this country. If a Republican president nominates a Christian, he or she must be Catholic or they will be labeled a religious fanatic and destroyed. Like they tried to do with George Bush but failed. As a result we only ever have Roman Catholic Christians on the SC. I have nothing against Catholics, most of my best friends are Catholic, but they have a different mindset when it comes to authority. They are raised ceding authority to the church hierarchy, and taught that the Pope is infallible on certain matters and must be obeyed. Protestants are taught that NOBODY has authority over them except God, Protestants are raised to obey nobody, which is the mindset missing from the SC for the last thirty or forty years... and also happens to be the mindset of the Founders.
That's an interesting point about Catholicism and while I've always known about the hierarchy and that "good" Catholics adhere to this hierarchy, I hadn't thought about it playing out as a course of life. That being said, it does make sense. I'd be curious how a practicing Catholic see's it?
To further your point, Muslims submit to God, while Jews, "struggle" with God.
I'm not here to make the case for any religion one way or the other, but one can see how these core beliefs can effect the ideas and principles as a matter of life.
One more point, because now you have my mind whirring with thoughts, Atheists only believe in matter, which is why making utopia is so important to them, there is nothing else.
It's even worse right now because the current Pope is a Jesuit. For the first time ever. And there are good reasons they never wanted a Jesuit in the top position. Jesuits are all about obedience to the hierarchy even when that obedience leads to unprincipled actions. The saying has always been that a Jesuit can justify anything. The principles of the order are very similar to Muslim principles, with obedience and submission to the "religious structure" outweighing worship of God, which is why, I think, Pope Francis seems to promote reconciliation with Islam so much. He probably sees nothing wrong with Islam.

I've been puzzled with the choice of this Pope from the beginning, what was the Church looking to accomplish?
I've long thought the Catholic Church gay and pedophilia scandal caused them to lose the moral high ground to the Left.
I mourn the loss of our country and I do think the churches moral failings was when the moral decline picked up speed.
On the Obamacare ruling, for example, Roberts, raised to be obedient to authority, was clearly wracking his brain for an excuse to rule in favor of it, so that his court would not be seen as disobedient to the authority of the legislative and executive branches. Roberts has precisely the wrong mindset to be a good SC chief justice. For that job you need a rebel, a fighter, a principled man raised to obey nobody.
