Tesla Compared To Enron, Ponzi Scheme In Scathing New Research Report. We’re still trying to figure out how they’re going to fulfill 400,000 orders for their new Model 3 in a timely manner when from what we read they’re not even producing 1,000 cars per week (52,000 per year). While their plant in Fremont, California reportedly had a capacity to produce about 400,000 cars per year it doesn’t mean Tesla will be able to achieve that. Meanwhile, collecting their $1,000 deposit on 400, 000 cars leaves Tesla with a cash pile of $400,000,000 of other people’s money.

  • Anyone stupid enough to pay money up front for a car that isn't built yet deserves to lose his money. It's no different than going to any other car lot to buy a car. Here is my money, give me the keys. Can't do that? I don't need your car.

    • It's different when it's an established company, though. I put down five grand cash on my Ford F-350, to have it built to my specs. Seemed there were no trucks anywhere near what I wanted in California with a standard transmission, and I refused to accept an automatic. Took four months to build it.

      • My dad ordered a '63 Corvette when they came out. Was to be a fastback, saddle tan, 327, 4-speed. The Chevy dealer called him and told him his Vette was in. He went down and there sat a Sebring silver convertible. He told them to stick it someplace and found a new '63 SS409 Impala 2 door, in saddle tan. Then being a mechanic he proceed to soup it up. Those had 2 sets of head gaskets. Believe it or don't you could remove one and up the compression ratio. He owned a Chevron station and you could get Custom Supreme (like 105 octane or something) and it would run on it. In went a cam and a 4.11 posi and man did that thing haul ass.

  • My prediction...Money will disappear, Tesla will assume room temperature and then ask the government for a bailout citing they are too big to fail..and the demotards will bend over and fart out a few billion....

    • Or California, or Nevada, will give them some more state money. Companies like Tesla, GE, Trump's companies, they have their sucking tentacles in all the government cash piles.

      • Moonbeam just got told no Choo Choo Train. I wonder where what's left of that $60 billion will disappear to? Tesla?

  • The fellas that use to run Enron should be demanding to be released from prison and have their records expunged.

  • Reminds me of the Reagan joke about a communist saves enough money to buy a car. In the USSR you had to put the full price at the down payment. He gives the bureaucrat his money and ask what the delivery date. The bureaucrat laughs and says it will be 6 years. The guy asks in the morning or the afternoon. This really makes the bureaucrat laugh and he says it is 6 years from now, why would it make a difference? The guy answers, well the plumber is coming in the morning.

  • "We’re still trying to figure out how they’re going to fulfill 400,000 orders for their new Model 3 in a timely manner when from what we read they’re not even producing 1,000 cars per week..."

Simple arithmetic: it will take them 400 weeks. So you will get your 2017 Model 3 in 2024. Enjoy the wait, suckers.

      • Well, they've got the biggest, dumbest mark a con can have, the federal government, so the money train might never stop.

        • Barky is all in on Tesla, so he'll probably sign the bailout before he leaves office, even if they're not bankrupt yet.
