Texas AG: Texans can use concealed-carry laws to stop mass shootings. You have to love Texas, they want more people armed to stop assholes like the shooter. If this had happened in Kalifornia they’d be cranking out more gun laws by the dozen.

Media does have a lot of fault/responsibility and in truth also us as the audience.
Well this is open carry state, but businesses and private institutions like churches do tell people to not bring guns in, etc. I sent a tweet to the governor that perhaps he can encourage individuals to carry regardless or else to avoid soft targets... and encourage businesses and private organizations to reconsider their no guns policies.
California would have a state holiday named for this fool!
Sadly, this prove again my point. Crimes happen in seconds and we get there in minutes.
In rural places like that cops can be there in half an hour or more. He could have killed EVERYONE, perhaps even more people on his way to his car and then drove away and escaped. He could have easily rivaled LV shooter, simply because it is a rural area and cops are not easily available. So yes... armed populace is the best defense against evil.
When I lived in my home in the high desert north of Palm Springs, I called the cops to my home once. I was listening on my scanner as I waited. And waited, and waited. Then I heard the call from the cop that he was having trouble finding my house.
Listening to the route he was taking, I realized he was about to get stuck in a sand wash, so I jumped in my little Geo Tracker 4x4 and headed for the wash. Sure enough, he was buried to his axles. I pulled him out, and he followed me to my house to take a report. After that, I checked with the local fire station to see if they knew the proper way to get to my house. I didn't figure my Geo would pull out a fire truck.
Wow... if you were in mortal danger you would not be telling this story... that is just sad as heck.
That's why I always went to check out strange noises in the night with a Mini-14 "assault" rifle and three thirty round magazines. You have to take care of your own business out there.

The left needs to then give up all their security measures to included their armed bodyguards. Otherwise they should JSTFU
It should go without saying that it's okay to use your weapon to prevent mass murder. Before the end of the day at least one Progressive motor mouth will call the Texas AG a "cowboy" for saying it.
Better to be a cowboy than a "deadboy" because you didn't fight back....
