Utterly ridiculous? Why? Why isn't making schools "gun free" zones (also known as safe-space, target-rich environments) utterly ridiculous? I would rather see an armed, trained teacher face extreme difficulty than an unarmed teacher face extreme difficulty.
Very few unarmed teachers face extreme difficulty, they run and hide behind closed doors.
