The effects of Seattle’s soda tax are finally being realized — and business leaders are furious. Seattle should call this Operation Taxed and Furious.

Our state capitol, Santa Fe, or Santa Flush as I call it, tried to do the same thing last year. As liberal as the liberal loons are there the voters said no by a huge margin! When they figured out a $4 can of lemonaid mix, the powdered stuff parents buy for their kids, was going to cost $21 the people said no. Because the tax was figured by the ounce no matter what the product was the idiot mayor shot himself in the foot. As goofy as the people in Santa Fe are they might have went for it if the tax was added to fountain drinks only.
Liberal Government: "We need more revenue, so we are raising taxes."
Citizens: "We are going to go elsewhere."
[people shop at other stores, people move out of the state]
[revenues go down]

Yeah. Seattle's gun and ammo tax was already a giant fail so now the retards do this. How damn stupid can they get?
Too bad they don't have a stupid tax, the only way to get liberals to pay for anything.
If we did have a stupid tax liberals would be to stupid to understand why they were paying it. Kind of like all the small business owners in San Franfreakshow who thought a $15 minimum wage was a good idea then had to let their employees go or close down when they had to start paying it.
I sucrose I'm supposed to feel sorry for them?
You're sugar coating it.
All these people have to do is hop on a bicycle and peddle a few blocks to find untaxed soda. Of course it's safer to bicycle in pairs so you need to find a cyclamate...
I have to be candied here, you really stretched for that one.
Why’re you insul’in’ my pun?
Because it was "punny" to do it? HAHAHA
You just used candy twice. That's a ten-yard penalty, honey.
Candy and candied. Two different words all together, sweet hips.
Those two words are sucrose together, it constitutes a penalty.
OOh a two part pun. I saccharose you set me up to fall for that one. Xylose, you win!
You're such a sap.
If it gets any sweeter I'm going to get my molasses outta here.
Just pointing out that you seem to have an uncandy knack for stretching things a bit.
Oh crap. It is to early in the morning for you guys to start this punny stuff.
Well,....DUH.
Gosh, who saw that coming?
Liberals obviously had their blinders on.
This is working out about as well as Seattle's new minimum wage.
