• As a young conservative myself (22 years old) I'd have to say that I definitely can appreciate what these guys have done. I'm not personally real "big" on rap/hip-hop (or whatever one wants to call it), but the lyrics definitely represent some major things that need to be said. I applaud them for their effort (even if the production quality isn't "top notch"), especially since the only rap/hip-hop stuff I have heard for many years (aside from that done by Christian artists) is horribly written and just plain stupid (not to mention degrading to young women).

• Lonewolf - you say white guys shouldn't attempt rap right? Is that because Blacks have already set a "standard" or just because you think it is goofy? Plus, everone is different and I guess what I was saying is that the lyrics are cool. All the rap out there these days sucks because it just talks trash on anyone and everyone, even our grandmothers. Today's rap has no respect for anyone, not even the people they claim to be representing. Most rappers think your daughter is a ho, and those who listen think it also. Anyway, it is cool to see some respectable people taking something mostly negative and adding a positive spin. I am 35, so you won't see me with my pants down around my ankles, but I do like what they are saying...it is kind of like...right back at you kind of thing for me I guess. I would chose Rock if I had to choose one genre, but I don't limit myself to any one type...different moods bring different music for me. Ah well, everyone else trying to bash us Conservatives ...keep it coming because I really think you will be a lone wolves in about 3 years.

  How at 44 years old are you an authority on what the Y gen are going to go for and what they will reject? What are your credentials?

  This generation votes with their internet hits. The best measure of what they like is the number of views on youtube. This one is getting a good number of hits, and 230,000 + is not shabby. So, judge this based on the intended audience's response, not your own personal taste.

• I haven't a creative bone in my body. However, I do know that it's never cool for white guys, especially while dressed in suit jackets, to attempt rap music.

  A little "free" with the criticism, sure, but white guys rapping should never be classified as "creative/creativity".

  If I were to mold a pile of manure into a shelter, for someone who couldn't do that for themselves, should I still be given credit for being a "builder"?

• Look, its easy to be critical of someone else's creative process. All I hear is how it sucked, how its NOT cool and driving youth from the conservative movement.

  Okay, YOU try to make a video expressing your conservative ideals. Post it on YouTube for all to see. Instead of just complaining that conservatism doesnt reach the youth because every attempt is lame or ill formed, then show us something brilliant, blow us away with your creativity.....

  These guys deserve support, perhaps their second effort will be better. At least they are out there taking fire for their conservative ideals. Thats more than just typing comments.

  Now I know, thats all I am doing too, but believe me, I have all the video gear, all the software, all the knowledge to produce something at least as professional and even I cant seem to find the time nor the angle that I would be comfortable posting on YouTube.

  So, give 'em a break...or contact me if you think you can produce something that rivals the Dartmouth Boys. I would be happy to help.

• I HAVE the tattoos and piercings. I'm a hardcore Conservative, too. I've been conservative my whole life. I'm 44 now and I don't regret the tattoos and piercings, either. So, I don't believe the only criticism you're receiving is from Liberals.

  The point is that, if you're trying to influence or attract young people to the Conservative ideology, you have to choose another way to "be cool", because this didn't/doesn't work.

• Lone[r] makes my point for me:

  Liberalism is analogous to adolescence. Just look at the similarities between the two. Liberals are emotive, reactionary, dramatic, impetuous and most of all irresponsible. They refuse to take responsibility for themselves and demand that the government attend to their every need. They want complete freedom to have sex without consequence. The babies conceived through spontaneous sexual encounters are to be aborted without remorse.

  So, when the liberals stop by the conservative web site to tease and mock the "un-cool conservatives" it just makes us smile knowing that someday they will grow up and realize how immature they once were. We know that someday they will regret the tattoos and the piercings, the squandered opportunities and of course they will eventually regret having voted for Obama. As a result of his presidency their lives will be lived earning less than their parents ever earned, "working" for some non-profit organization, making just enough money to keep their bicycle operational and struggling to split rent 3 ways.

  So, go ahead, tell us whats cool, show us how to be hip, but remember, to us, you are the ones walking around with the big "L" on your foreheads.

• Do you people get hired to jump online and make negative comments about anything conservative? Like every liberal i know is always pissed about something or making fun of someone who actually goes out of their way to show they have something they believe strongly in. If you can't even respect them for that, then you have no business criticizing anyone.

  Oh, and hell yes Steele and Limbaugh are cool. At least they have some concept of what integrity and leadership should look like, unlike that incompetent socialist in the oval office who couldn't run a gas station let alone a country.
