  • But, he wasn't trans. He always said he was a man, he just wanted out on a psycho. Once he was offered a chance to get the surgery and he freaked out and ran.

  She ESSENTIALLY made the point as to why this particular group of people should not be in a high stress industry as the military.

  What I think: How can you have a group of people taking folks all the way to the Supreme Court over not making cupcakes and lollipops, getting people fired for NOT calling you something, having them fined and closing their businesses b/c you're offended by biology... and then expect to have the balls to be in the Armed Forces?

• The Washington Post, always having a knee-jerk urge to attack Trump, published an idiotic editorial this morning against Trump's decision on transgenders by claiming hundreds of transgenders fought in the Civil War. Except the examples the editorial provides are women dressed as men who were not transgendered at all, but simply women eager to fight either for patriotic reasons or because they wanted the paycheck. Never mind the facts, folks, we are the Post and we will tell you what to think:

• Good! I see no point in letting trannys join the military so we can pay for their surgery, and pay them to sit around while getting treatment, because they can't do their regular jobs when under treatment, because of the mental and emotional problems make them unreliable.

  • Exactly! The military is not an hospital ward nor a caretaker. The Commander in Chief wants a ready military at all times, impossible if we allow not only trans but ANY person or group of people that require any type of assistance or medical help. Man... flat footed people are rejected! Color blind people! Disabled people obviously. So many people are rejected because the cost of their care and the time to recover IF they even could recover does not make them ready for military service and that can be of any kind, not just battle.

    Why can't people understand that?

  • I agree and of course they (I can't even count myself part of their ranks, no pun) expect the bennies of the Military to accommodate them, like it does everyone else, and therein lies the problem... They ain't like everyone else.

    • I heard a veteran on the radio asking why they don't just get their surgeries or whatever done, and then join the military as whatever gender their reproductive organs now suggest. In other words, why do they want to join knowing they will be spending most of their service time in transition? Of course the answer is obvious: this was always about getting the government to pay for their transition, not about serving in the military.

      • Or they can do what the famous SEAL did... LEAVE the military and then transition.

        NO offense to anyone, but in the days of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" a lot of homosexuals and lesbians (etc) -and it went under-reported- did this. They joined got what they wanted monetary or benefit wise and then left sometimes before they even had to get their hands dirty. There was talk especially after one gay doctor did this to reclaim those funds from those people, I don't think it went anywhere and then eventually the policy was gone and I am willing to bet that only the ones that TRULY wanted to serve actually joined.

        So I agree... do what you got to do snip, snip and treatments before then join (ensure you are mainly responsible for your care during) if you are really patriotic and you qualify otherwise... or leave and then take care of your business.

• He is saying that this is not an arbitrary decision that he passed through his rectum just to piss off people. He is a business man. He weigh the issues and came to a conclusion. There is cause and effect reasons and the most important one is the COST. If you are trans gendered or want to be trans great, but don't ask us to pay you EXTRA amount of money to get elective procedures. AND if you are going down the "well I have a mental condition..." then your mental condition needs to stay home. Your mental condition should not be part of our military. You cannot have it both ways, demand EXTRA ELECTIVE care to deal with your mental condition and want to stay in the military with a mental condition that doesn't allow you to accept yourself as you are and that if found out by the enemy can be easily exploited and other issues (like suicide).

  Listen my black behind ain't going to be in the military. So I am not going to pretend that I am all of that and I respect those who serve voluntarily. If you are trans and you want to serve GOOD FOR YOU, but deal with it before you enter service, get your shit right then go inside. If you are inside and expect taxpayers to pay for your shit that is wrong. Pay for it yourself! If you have a mental condition you should not be serving! If changing soothes your mental condition... ok great, but again pay for it yourself!
