• Who else is glad they were too busy to debase themselves watching the sh*tshow Grammys???

  • Man, talk about funny, I was watching the golf tournament that preceded the Grammys on CBS. Thing is, CBS had planned live coverage of the red carpet starting at 6:30 EST but the golf tournament wasn't quite over. Then, with CBS feeling the time crunch and limousines backed up down the street so celebrities wouldn't arrive before CBS could cover their arrival, J. B. Holmes, two shots back and desperate for an eagle on the last hole, stood in the fairway for at least five minutes, pondering whether he could make it to the green in two. Then, just when you could hear CBS executives screaming their anguish in the back room, and the clock ticking toward 7 P.M., he hands his club back to his caddy, who puts the cover back on the fairway wood, and then J. B. spends another five minutes staring at the green, pondering what he should do some more. It was irritating to me as a golf fan, irritating to his opponents in the threesome, and irritating to the fans in attendance at the golf tournament, but ohmygod it was funnier than hell watching more than half of CBS's red carpet show disappear onto that 18th fairway and funnier than hell thinking about all those celebrities having hissy fits because CBS wouldn't let them disembark from their limos.

  • Yeah, her landlord screwed up her ticket and it is somehow United to blame? What are they supposed to do, give a free ride to anyone claiming their Mom is dying? Love the file photo attached to the article. That's a 727, I don't believe United has flown those in this century. Another orchestrated hit piece from the reliable media. Fake news.

    • You must not have read the story at all. United cancelled the ticket because their software flagged the situation for a fraud alert. But there was no fraud. Her landlord out of the kindness of his heart bought the ticket for her. So she didn't screw anything up, United did, and then were adamant about escorting her off the plane in spite of the circumstances. AT THAT POINT the ticket is unpayed for, sure, but only because United cancelled it.

    • True United story; employees are livid about profit sharing checks this year. All the other majors are also giving their people the $1000 tax cut savings check, United isn't. I expect frontline employees will most likely stop giving a damn again and we'll see an increase in bad press as a result.
      The comments section at the profit sharing page on our employee website got lit up so bad and so fast, it got locked up. They're claiming technical difficulty, most believe the company just locked it.
