Lawrence H. Summers: Trump Doesn’t Deserve Credit for Good Economic News. One would think that if Larry Summers knew anything about fixing the economy he wouldn’t have given Obama the sort of advice that led to eight years of the worst economy since the Great Depression.

The Clinton administration looked good economically because of Newt Gingrich and a conservative leadership on the hill. They had control for 6 years of the Clinton administration. Clinton worked with Gingrich and The Contract With America team to balance the budget and get things done for the people.
Just imagine what Trump could accomplish if he had that kind of leadership on the hill instead of the self centered establishment RINOs he has to fight against as much as the dimocrats..
Another dipshite economist who thought the dotcom bubble was a great thing.
When it comes to the Left, failure is a resume' enhancer.
I recall on his seventh year, Obama blamed the actions of those of the past "ten years" for the ills of the world/country... He blamed Bush for as long as his Presidency existed. Now he and his cronies want to say that the economy was in recovery and finally recovered... a year after he left office... Okay... okay... :-/ wow... So will they still get credit next year?
Summers is the embodiment of the know-it-all Ivy League Intellectual who believes that only the credentialed should be allowed to vote.
Yeah, this guy is Paul Samuelson's nephew. IIRC Samuelson was instrumental in getting economists in the sixties to commit to using the Phillips Curve (to simplify it, they believed that by raising inflation you could lower unemployment) as a policy tool, which in turn helped create the stagflation of the 70s. So ruining the economy is a family business for these guys.
They're not blaming Bush?
In a sense it was Bush's fault in that he did nothing to reverse the policies of Clinton/Larry Summers that allowed for the housing bubble to later be created, and he did not do enough to stop Greespan from creating the bubble on his watch. But then again, that sort of thinking was probably beyond his ability.
Bush was too busy being an internationalist President and not busy enough being an American President. He had so many chances to improve the economy but knuckled under to the Dems nearly every time.
The Bush family seems to be really nice people but they're east coast liberals, no matter what party they claimed allegiance to. I'm so sick of east coast liberals running this country into the ground I can hardly stand it.
The mere mention of a Kennedy makes me get all apoplectic. JF, Teddy, all of them. Everything that ever went wrong in this country, a Kennedy had a hand in it. Viet Nam? Thanks JFK
Then you are going to be thrilled to learn that the Democrat Party has chosen a Kennedy to respond to Trump's State of the Union speech:

Head explodes
Oh sure, it is his birthright.
This was a driving factor when the republican voters overwhelmingly rejected Jeb.
