  • Ok everyone, jump on the bandwagon and tell me how wrong I was. I have been all over the web sites cheering for Barrett and I should have known better. She is southern raised, born in New Orleans, intelligent and tough and not afraid to speak her mind. I was hoping the female thing would be a plus for her because of all the liberal loonys wanting women to serve in high positions in our government but I was wrong. She went to law school at Notre Dame and is not considered good enough to serve on our highest court. Now we will be stuck with a "modernist" who interned under Kennedy and will probably be just as liberal as Kennedy was. We, as a nation, are screwed and my faith in Trump just dropped close to the toilet bowl.

    • Yeah, she was Catholic but unfortunately for her she wasn't Catholic AND a Yale or Harvard grad. So like you say, not considered good enough by the elites who rule us. Being Catholic got her on the short list but she went to the wrong law school. They can't count on her being sufficiently brainwashed.

  • Yeah, I hate to throw cold water on all the accolades here but I'm sick and tired of the bullshit scam show being run on America by the elites. I've written about this twice: Kneel before your betters, peasant, and Mitt Romney, Mormonism, and the big freeze out. And look, in the ensuing years nothing has changed. The elites WILL NOT ALLOW A PROTESTANT CHRISTIAN on the Supreme Court, and the elites also insist that every single SC justice be educated at either Harvard or Yale. This is bullshit. This is why the East Coast elites are running our lives into the toilet. There is no dissenting voice in government. They might label themselves conservative or liberal but they're all the same asshole. This is why Roberts bent himself into a pretzel to declare Obamacare constitutional: he's an elite, raised Catholic, and he's been prepared since childhood to accept top-down control by authorities. The Protestant Christian mindset is completely different. The Protestant Christian mindset, the mindset which founded and designed this nation, abhors top-down authority.

    I am thoroughly disgusted by Trump's Supreme Court selection. We can't have one single SC justice from the nation's religious majority? We can't have one single SC justice educated outside that narrow little 100-mile corridor between Cambridge and New Haven? Seriously? What are they afraid of? And what are we afraid of as citizens that we allow this to happen?

    • He stands with precedent so he will uphold gay marriage, abortions and Obamacare.

      In a way this is a win for liberals.

    • You can say I told you so JP, you were right. I have been on the Trump bandwagon from day one and now he has just stuck it to me with a sandpaper rubber. Now I am wondering who the hell am I supposed to vote for in 2020? The repukicants are not going to put up any strong opposition candidate against him. The dumbocraps are looking at old losers who will be new losers if they run. We are screwed big time.

      • The only hope is that Trump is being advised by the wrong people when it comes to SC nominees and will eventually wise up. The Daily Beast says the guy who heads The Federalist is the guy who makes the recommendations to Trump. He's a hardcore Catholic who believes in the mythology of Harvard and Yale. Maybe Trump will wise up and get some recommendations from the rest of the country. Personally, I've never met a Harvard or Yale grad who wasn't dumb as a rock.

      • Hillary would have nominated a Harvard or Yale graduate who was either Catholic or Jewish. Not much difference. You can't really trust these people because look at the extent Roberts went to in order to declare Obamacare constitutional. When the chips were down he showed his true colors. Conservative or liberal really doesn't matter in the final analysis with these people because THEY ARE ALL EAST-COAST ELITES WHO THINK THEY HAVE A RIGHT TO TELL THE REST OF US WHAT TO DO.

    • They can't put a Christian (not saying Catholics aren't Christians) on the bench because the left would incite riots and the country would burn. They can put a Catholic up there because there's a liberal pope in office right now. It's a concessionary bone. " Yeah he believes in God, but the light version."

      Only current judge from Harvard or Yale is Roberts. But yeah, the schools the rest attended are elite. He could've put Ted Cruz up there, but he went to Princeton.

And now we have a nominee from Yale. That'll make it 5-4 Harvard over Yale instead of 6-3. Yale is catching up. How exciting.

  • Another big score for President Donald Trump and the USA. Judge Kavanaugh had not been announced and all the usual busted chain saws were out and going off. With two more aged old leftards, Trump will probably get one if not two more appointments. Then watch all the screw balls lose their collective minds. I for one wish it had been Judge Barrett. She's on the list of 25 so there is still the chance.
