TSA orders electronic carry-on limits on some Middle Eastern flights. Evidently people in the same countries Trump wants to ban immigration from still want to blow up shit. Someone should make sure some dummy Federal judges read this.

The routes affected by the ban are these:
Mohammed V International, Casablanca, Morocco
Ataturk Airport, Istanbul, Turkey
Cairo International Airport, Egypt
Queen Alia International, Amman, Jordan
King Abdulaziz International, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia
King Khalid International, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Kuwait International Airport
Hamad International, Doha, Qatar
Abu Dhabi International, United Arab Emirates
Dubai International, United Arab Emirates .
In other words, these don't overlap with the countries on the Executive Orders. President Trump's EOs are designed to prevent the infiltration of the United States by terrorists, but this development is concerned with the potential for bombing of the airliners themselves. Since the airlines involved are the local ones

I think they are quite keen to cooperate with the US in this. With the possible exception of the odd rogue pilot, they don't want to get blown out of the sky. People plausibly carrying laptops to the United States are far more likely on flights from Abu Dhabi, or Kuwait, than on ones from Sudan, or Somalia.
These are genuine threats, but separate ones.
I am waiting for a nutjob federal judge to issue a TRO against this obviously racist limit.
