  • I am not a 'puter geek, don't know how to get the entire story here so I did a cut and paste thing.

"FedEx says it'll be giving wage increases, bonuses and make a voluntary $1.5 billion contribution to the company's pension plan, citing recent tax reform legislation.
The package delivery company follows others doing the same, including Home Depot, Disney, Starbucks and Walmart.
FedEx Corp. said Friday that it'll raise compensation by more than $200 million, with about two-thirds going to hourly workers by pushing up this year's annual pay increases to April 1st from the normal October date. The rest of the money will fund increases in performance-based incentive plans for salaried personnel.
The company said it will also invest $1.5 billion to expand its FedEx Express facility in Indianapolis over the next seven years. Later this year it will announce plans to modernize its Memphis hub."

And we still hear liberal loons and elected idiots raising hell about Trump's tax plans to help make America great again? I want one person, just one, to post a rational explanation about why Trumps tax plan is so bad for our country. Just one.

  • What a glorious morning! I stepped out on the deck this morning and watched the sun come up over the lake and said a little prayer to God for such a beautiful sight. It's chilly, about 21 degrees, so I had a big mug of coffee with a generous dollop of Irish Crème in it to keep me warm.

It was so still, unusual around here, that the lake looked like a mirror and I could hear the migratory ducks and geese quacking and honking. They will be gone soon and I hope I am here next year to hear them. I feel sorry for all of you who live in the city, I really do. You do not get to experience the sun coming up in the morning, the buildings get in the way. Or the smog is bad. You miss what a sunset can be for the same reason. To many people and dirty air.

Any of my friends here get tired of it, come on down! As long as you are sort of redneck, conservative, own guns and use them, men or women who believes in honesty and integrity you would be welcome. Then you too would be able to breathe clean air and watch a glorious sunrise. With a mug of hot coffee and a dollop of Irish Crème.

  • Oh my God! I got up this morning and the sky has fallen! Armageddon is coming! We will all die a horrible death! The Feral Gooberment has shut down!

Wait a minute here. I still have electricity, the lights and my 'puter still work. My propane didn't suddenly go away, I am nice and warm. I went out on the deck and the lake is still right where it belongs. I heard the migratory ducks and geese that I hear every year.

My television still works and I have not seen any news stories about Guam tipping over, Kalifornia sliding off into the ocean, or a volcano in Chile blowing its top killing thousands of people.

What the f*** people! I thought a gooberment shutdown was going to be a big thing! I doubled up on my Swann's order of key lime pie, shrimp and scallops! I bought a few more boxes of ammo for my weapons! I even doubled up when I went on my beer-whiskey-cigar run yesterday! Then I get up this morning and what do I see?

A beautiful sunrise shining on the lake. A lot of booze to get me by until the end of March or so. Enough Shrimp and scallops to feed my neighbors a feast. Which I will do tomorrow while we are watching the football games and sucking down the hooch. In other words, not one damn thing is different today that it has been since we were wearing diapers. Friggin' fear mongers in gooberment positions and the lame stream media are sickening excuses for human beings.

    • I think ours boys in uniform aren't getting a paycheck tho. The Repubs need to be screaming from the rooftops that Democrats care more for illegals than our own troops.

      • I haven't heard from my grandson, a Marine, or my granddaughter, Air Force, in a while but if they need some cash I will get it to them. Meanwhile Trump needs to stand strong. No deals when it comes to illegal aliens!

  • A little funny for the day. I went to town this morning on my weekly trash-beer-whiskey-cigar run and heard a story on the radio. It seems some guy burned his older brothers home down because older brother farted in his face years ago! LMOAO...I have four younger brothers and we were meaner than hell to each other! But none of us have burned anothers house down because of something that happened years ago! And we have never, to this day, allowed anyone to mess with any of us.

    • Reading this reminded me of a Grand Canyon trip that took us through Freedonia,Az. On the way out of town there's a convenience store. Their lighted sign in the drive advertised, "Ammo, Guns, Beer, Cigarettes and Lotto." I drove by thinking GD, I'm proud to live in this country!

  • Dayam! What was I doing wrong yesterday?? I check today and the songs I was trying to post are hear. And a Big thanks to MGAP for posting them too!

Things better today, I got some good news for a change. Sorry if I sounded like a grumpy old fart yesterday, it had nothing to do with anyone here.

    • I kind of miss some of the old haters, they were so much fun to argue and debate with. The more truth and common sense we tossed out there the wilder they would get. Almost as funny as watching an old Johnny Carson rerun!
