  • For the record, I love this weekly thread concept. But may I offer a suggestion? Some of the discussions get to be a little long, and consequently some of the replies are reduced to a couple of words per line, which can get to be a little tough to read. Is it possible to have a note at the top of each reply stating to whom it's replying, rather than shortening the space for each one? I've seen that format used elsewhere, and it's pretty easy to follow.

      See? I should have replied to your original post but clicked his. But it does work. Prolly why I work with a hammer & have been known to smash a finger or two. Maybe a thumb.

      • That's too bad. I was gonna reply to Ghost's post about Rules for Radicals, but the thread had already shrunk down to a couple of words per line. My reply woulda been individual LETTERS per line!

          • Kind of a stretch to call Cruz "the Establishment’s well-mannered little house boy" when both Graham and Romney are insisting that Kasich is still a better choice. They're still attacking Cruz even while holding a fund raiser for him and voting for him.

          • They're only voting for Cruz because he's the best chance of keeping Trump from getting enough delegates to prevent a contested convention. If Trump had no chance, they would be voting for Kasich to keep Cruz from winning.

  • Okay... let us all be real right now... Trump got it. Very VERY weird if he doesn't. Okay so what is next? Are people AGAIN staying at home or wasting their votes so Hillary can win? That is my question.

      • I can't either. #NEVERTRUMP...I will write in Cruz, wash my hands of it and sleep well. There is NO difference between Hillary and Trump.

        • There is a world of difference between Hillary and Trump. Hillary wants to shut down the coal industry. Trump wants to create jobs. I have no doubt Trump would be better for Americans than Hillary. Please don't knowingly help give us Obama 3.0. With Trump who knows, but with Hillary we all know for sure.

          • I can understand preferring one over the other, but I absolutely cannot comprehend this mania insisting that Trump is Hillary in drag. I guess these are the same people who said virtually the same thing about McCain and Romney and who gave us 8 years of Jugears, and are now ready to hand us Broom Hilly.       • I'm with you, Strina. I can't stand Hillary but I refuse to be played for a fool. Trump is a leftwing crony capitalist moron, a con man, who has somehow commandeered the conservative movement and will sap all the spirit out of it.

          • Thank You. Republicans, Conservatives, fiscal or social had better stand united. This country is at the tipping point. We have way too many people voting for a living. I never thought I would see the day a candidate who actually calls himself a socialist would have a chance at getting elected president. I fear Trump, but I loathe Hitlery. Like whiskeyriver posted "Four more years of the same, or worse, or try an outsider who may surprise the hell out of everybody?"

      • I feel for you Strina, I look at Trump and see Schwarzenegger, but I would rather suffer through a term of him, than 2 terms of Hitlery.

          • I know what you mean, and I am really in a quandry. If Trump gets the nomination, (OH GOD, NOOOOOO!!!) I am having a hard time deciding what to do. I don't want to give Hitlery the election, but I don't really want Trump either. My best hope is that Cruz gets the nomination, but the GOPe is making things tough for us.

          • No, He is not. He may not be a constitutionalist, or even a true conservative, but he "seems" to be a patriot, a populist seeking to represent the interests of ordinary people. Emphasis on seems, but we know what Hittlery is.

          • I'm not voting for Trump, I'm voting against Hitlery. This country can not survive another 4 to 8 years of social engineering. I'm not sure what Trump will do, but I know the direction Hitlery will take us.

          • That's a straw man argument. Nobody has claimed that Ted Cruz is Ronald Reagan so it's a safe route for you to attack the notion that he is. Unfortunately, your constant comparisons of Trump to Reagan are not so safe. That comparison is ludicrous.

      • Fine, help give Shilllery the win if that is what you want. I had to get half drunk and hold my nose when I voted for McCain and Romney but I did it anyway. I had an idea of what an Obama administration would be like, turns out I was right. Four more years of the same, or worse, or try an outsider who may surprise the hell out of everybody?

        • The Obama administration was awful for me. I have to say that this is an important issue that merits thought. I can't say Mccain and Romney would have been aces, but I KNEW Obama was going to be awful. I KNOW Hillary will be awful... may have to do a write in, but I cant give this election willingly to Hillary.

        • Sorry, but to me, voting for Trump is just as bad as voting for Hillary. I won't do it. I cannot physically, mentally, or emotionally do it. Trump IS just as much "4 more years of the same". You think he's not a Progressive? He doesn't give two sh*ts about the Constitution.

          • I will vote for Trump and hope he sticks to his campaign promises. With Hitlery you know for sure what your getting. I went through this with Romney. Several church members would not vote for him because he was Mormon. Would he have been as bad as 4 more years of Obama? Hell No! With Hitlery that's what we will get, Obama 3.0.

          You've made the most valid point: With Killery, we all know what we'll get. With Trump, there's a chance at getting something better. But not voting, or writing in someone that has no chance of winning is just a feel-good exercise that the Dems are HOPING for.

          I can't stand Donald Trump. And I cringe at the thought of having to listen to that blather for 4 years. But I have to hope that he actually wants what's best for America. We all know that Killery doesn't. And with her we'd have a 7-2, 8-1 liberal SCOTUS for the next 50 years. That would be the final nail in America's coffin. And once she's in, she'll breeze to a re-election.

          I wish Donald Trump hadn't decided to run. But he did, and he's leading. You have to play the hand you were dealt. And at this stage of the game, folding isn't an option.

          • I agree. I hate and like Trump, and it's going to be tough pulling that lever, but if it's his name against Hitlery or Bernout, it's a no brainer. I am just hoping Cruz makes a good enough showing in the rest of the primaries, to make it a horse race at the convention, and he gets the nod.
            The main issue for me is also the SCOTUS. If Hitlery or Bernout get to appoint justices, we're done. At that point, the only thing that can save us is another revolution.

          • The way things are going, it might be smarter to pay more attention to Trump's running mate than him, if he gets to that point. Some loon on the Left will surely try to take him out. That clown that rushed the stage in Dayton had a ceramic knife on him, from what I saw. He mocked everyone that claimed it was an attempt on Trump's life in a post somewhere, saying that he had passed through a metal detector. But a ceramic knife wouldn't have set off the alarm.

            Why he was only charged with a misdemeanor and let go is beyond me

          • Thank You! The point you make about SCOTUS appointments, alone, should have everyone who wants to defend our rights and our freedoms voting against the demogods, and not wasting their vote..

            Cruz has said that if Trump is the nominee that he would vote for him. It is that or hand it over to Hitlery.

          • At this point in time what I want is NOT WORSE and a change in regime may allow for at least a year of good will, relaxing of regulations and positivity that I can take advantage of.
