In other NFL news, Colin Kaepernick has raised another $20,000 for a group named after a cop killer:

*sigh* - Confession time. I watched the game. My wife turned on the tube while I was grilling up some fajitas. I must admit, I couldn't turn it off. Until half time that is. What a disaster. I went and surfed the net for 30 minutes during the Timberlake fiasco. Second half was another thriller down to the very last play. I was certain Brady was going to pull it out of his ass again. Congrats Eagles fans.
I feel sorry for the Philly city workers today. At least the ones who aren't still drunk and showed up for work. Looks like the fans delivered on their reputation for tearing shit up!

When I checked the news this morning I found a clip that showed the singing of America the Beautiful and the Anthem. Every player and coach were standing proud, most with hands over their heart like it should be.
Then I saw one of New Mexico's own, Master Sergeant Leroy Petry, being honored. Then all the other Medal of Honor recipients being honored including 94 year old WWII Woody Williams who did the opening coin toss.
Last night showed a NFL I would love to watch. Watching the clips this morning on the news sites almost makes me wish I had watched the game. Unfortunately that Kamperdick fool and to many others have soured me on football. It will take more than one showing of patriotism, of thanking the veterans past and present, for me to change my mind and watch next season.
I'll be damned, never thought it would happen but the Eagles won. Maybe I should have watched the game after all!
F U Tom Brady!!!!!! Fly Eagles Fly!!!!!
Ach! another Brady hater. I fear for the safety of your soul, madam.
#PhillyPhilly!
So did the PATRIOTS at least stand for the Anthem?
Everyone stood
Herschel Walker claims the league bribed the players to stand. If true, that means the league does realize it has an image problem and it also means the kneeling players never really had any bedrock principles.
Why do I say the players never really had any bedrock principles? Well, it's simple. Try to imagine the offer being reversed: try to imagine bribing those Medal of Honor winners who were out there for the coin flip, try to imagine bribing them to kneel for the national anthem...
Well I have to admit I am one of those very few otherwise normal gentlemen (you know, not one of =those=) who has very little interest in ANY sports, and virtually ZERO in football. And THIS despite me being virtually a life-long New Englander, with nearly all my life spent in Conn. & Mass. Oh, and I work in RI. I say virtually, because due to some bad timing on my parents' part, I was actually born in -- Philadelphia! However, I am not even torn between team loyalty this evening. My vague support for the Patriots is related only to some moral support for Mr Brady due to the low-level, but ongoing, assault on him since first being busted wearing a MAGA hat. And as little as I know of, or care about, football, even I laughed at a picture I saw on Facebook the other day (if I can find it I'll put it up here), riffing on the Philly logo, and re-drawn as "Philadelphia Smeagles -- Lord of the No Rings".
Ah! That was easier than I thought.

LOL. Someone tweeted "No matter who wins today Philly will be destroyed."
My hubby is from Philly and a diehard Eagles fan. E-A-G-L-E-S EAGLES!
I'm a Dallas fan that can't stand Philly by nature but they haven't won diddly in almost sixty years and I'm sick of the Pats(No offense to any NE fans) so I'd rather see Philly win. Call it choosing the lesser of the two evils.
The other half is set on watching it though so I guess I'll suffer through it.
