I have a feeling they prefer melting ice to solid ice... you see to them REAL ice is the one that melts, not the one that is solid. The one that is solid is uppity ice that stands its ground, expands and remain firm under pressure and gets back together quickly if it is ever artificially broken, they don't like that, that is not REAL ice... But the "real" ice is the one that breaks and melts and gives into pressure and is formless and easy to break and easy to maintain apart and the one that votes... I mean... acts according to the whims and desires of the "betters" of the world. Just saying... it is a theory.

You just don't get it do you. More ice is evidence of global warming, just as less ice is evidence of global warming. Global warming is so complex that it is impossible for any of us to say exactly what it is and all we really know for sure is that it is real and the only way to stop it is by adopting policies that will ruin the economy and cause a lot of underprivileged people to starve and freeze to death.

The cultish devotion to Nye mystifies me. I love science. But the cornerstone of science is to be skeptical, to question everything and then to test it. His followers are not skeptical when it comes to anything he says, they do not question it and they do not test it (when it can be tested, much of his global warming theories cannot be which by default makes them pseudoscience) and because of this a guy who is at the level of a middle school educator (more interested in the softball team he coaches than the science he is supposed to be teaching) has become the infallible oracle of all things "sciency".
His views on abortion being scientifically sound and his views on evolution being a fact instead of a theory and his ridicule of religious people make him an asshole. You are right that I have no idea what people see in him... He ain't all that!
