I havemixed feelings on this. An ambulance should not even be requested for a DNR patient. What would they do? And if someone is terminally ill, logical triage says a younger, healthier patient should get a higher priority over someone who will die relatively soon. I am not cruel, and I am not saying they should not receive care. I am only using established principles of medical triage. Not everything is first come, first served.
No, I agree that not everything is first come, first served, you should be treated in order of severity of your condition. If you're bleeding heavily, or having a heart attack, you should be first in line for treatment. Age should have nothing to do with it.

If I were to think this way, we would have either had my father in law put in a home or put down, because his dementia would be considered a "burden" to us to deal with. But he is a joy to have around. The dogs absolutely love him, he may be forgetful, he has horrible hygiene consciousness, and can be stubborn, which frustrates the hell out of my wife, but he is funny as hell, and I love having him around. According to this woman's thoughts, we should have had him killed by now!
I have to ask myself and you too, how do the moslem contingent receiving NHS in their adoptive uk view their healthcare? I'll bet it isn't as good as it can be in, say, Israel? I'll bet they see the premium golden service the British Cracker can only wish he had.
Death panels, Schmeth panels. How about Life panels?
This is what you can look forward to when the government stops auditing you for insulting Obama.
If you like this, you're sure to love Obamacare. Sarah Palin was right about the death panels. The British just have an advanced form due to all the years of practice they've had neglecting and killing patients.
Hell you don't need a death panels, just have the ambulance crew stop for lunch on the way, and then leave grandma or grandpa in the ambulance overnight when they get done with their shift....
