Good comments from everybody here. Maher is a despicable person, and he has despicable writers, and as everybody has indicated here he is just posturing to make himself look good. I don't, for one second, believe that HE believes what he is saying. He's just giving himself license to make more hateful comments about the Sarah Palins of the Conservative world.

Well, if Rush is "forced" from the airwaves, he realizes he could be next.
He already was, he had a gig at ABC & he made a comment about 9/11 highjackers being gutsy due to their suicidal level of commitment. There were compplaints made & he was gone. I believe the show was called "Politically Incorrect". He then got his gig on HBO, so he knows the game.

When Maher said that, he proved that he didn't know the difference between bravery and fanaticism. There is a courageous firm resolve and then there's an insanity.
I agree, but that is what he said & why he got fired from ABC. I will say Maher is smarter then most of leftist pundits, but he's not as smart as he thinks he is. Same goes for Jon Stewert
Now that you mention it, I do remember "Politically Incorrect" promos on ABC but didn't know about it being shit-canned. I just assumed it had run out of steam and he oozed on over to HBO. Thanks for the info.
