Most of my family has already solved our problem with the Hitler Brownshirts, we refuse to fly.
I recently travelled by bus and got this same treatment (no x-ray, just searched belongings and wanded) at one of the 3 bus stations I travelled through. The other 2 sttions didn't sem to care what I carried or had on my person.
TSA is out of control. From this incident to doing traffic stops in TN. They are seeing how far they can push the populace before the populace pushes back. All that needs to happen is to change the uniforms to the Brown Shirts and jack boots. Yes I said it, and I will say it again. The TSA just needs to change their shirts to brown and put on the jack boots and they are ready for the Night of the long knives.

Its worse than that. What is PC about stripping down an 86 year old woman? Did they think it was a disguise?
It was just to prove that they're not profiling. Of course, profiling would get the job done with the minimum of hassle for everyone.
I'll say it again! If we want efficient, accurate airport security, let Israeli air security take over the TSA!!
I ALWAYS insist on a hand search instead of getting irradiated. Even if it's good for you, the idea that former political appointees made a bundle pushing this over priced, line slowing garbage onto the tax payer makes my skin crawl.
Dogs would do a better, faster, cheaper job of finding explosives. If enough of us just say NO eventually these machines will have to be pulled out or the transportation system will simply stop.

I'll try to be constructive here if possible. I work in the airline industry, so I see things from another perspective. I'll agree that TSA is window dressing. All they can do is prevent someone from taking down another plane while riding on that plane. Like them or not, they are fairly good at doing so. There a million holes in airport security and it would scare the shit out you if knew how big those holes are. The TSA checkpoints are not one of those holes IMO.
I didn't linger at your facebook site because the name itself implies something other than giving a rats ass about airport security. I felt any further reading at the page would only serve to lower my IQ level, thus serving as nothing more than a waste of my time. You might consider a page titled "TSA Blows" or "Fix the holes in airport security." Otherwise I read into it that you merely have an axe to grind with the airlines. If your mission is to fix airport security and TSA procedures, you should rename your page to reflect that.
I avoided posting on this article because I'm pretty sure I know what happened. I flew last month after shoulder surgery. I told the scanner I was impaired and could not hold my arms up for the duration scan. No problem, I went through a metal detector and was on my way. Had I been a dick and just said I wasn't going through the body scan... well I can assure you I would have been subjected to a "private session" with some TSA boys. My guess is this lady acted like a dick and was subjected to the procedures that are required by the rules and regs.
Here's the important part. While we all know it is highly unlikely that caucasian jewish grandma will ever bomb a plane, are you willing to let her NOT go through the same security procedures as the rest of us? Here's the scenario. Al Q. has her hubby at home with a knife to his throat. They've told her that her kids and grandkids will also die if she doesn't take the bomb in her walker and blow up a plane. She's gonna act different going through security, right? It's a hole and they've plugged it. She gets searched if she's got a burka on too.
When Hitler sent the Jews to the gas chambers , I'm sure even back then they followed procedure .
How far back do we have to go , to find the last hijacking by a non Palestian or non Islamic person , on the North American contienent ? I believe 1986 or 1987 is the correct answer. Before that it was 1968.
I must have missed the news about grand parents blowing up planes somewhere in the world . I must have missed the news about ANY bomb being in a babies diaper.
I should rest easy at night knowing procedure is being followed . Maybe I can laugh my self to sleep at the good job Big Sister and her kind is doing.

To be fair, I think there is some question about whether or not she was actually strip searched, but bottom line, why are you picking on an 85 year old lady in a wheel chair? Would the TSA do the same thing if it were an 85 year old woman in a burqa?
"My sock was soaked with blood," she said. "I was bleeding like a pig." Good grief. And it's all done because political correctness demands that we have to pretend that we don't know where the real threat is coming from in 2011.
I'm also thinking that any convert terrorists the terrorists want to strap a bomb to will be able to walk without assistance.
