The linked piece certainly allows the various scandals to look more like pieces to a larger puzzle that fit together. It'll be very interesting to see what unfolds in the coming weeks and how the supposed opposition reacts.
All this stonewalling does is breed conspiracy theories. I can think of no good reason why the explanation has not been given. Good reasons being the operative words.
