A DIFFERENT AMENDMENT RESTRICTING NSA SPYING WAS PASSED OVERWHELMINGLY BY THE HOUSE – BUT ‘NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT.’ It appears the MSM is hiding out again.

The Pompeo amendment (championed by Rep. Mike Pompeo of Kansas) passed the House with a bipartisan vote of 409-12. However, “no one is talking about it,” Rep. John Culberson (R-Texas) told TheBlaze on Thursday.

Or, perhaps the MSM thinks votes about the NSA are top secret?

  • Anyone that thinks that the NSA will not spend money on spying on U.S. citizens just because Congress tells them not to is naive at the least. Who is going to keep an eye on the NSA to make sure they are spending their funds in a proper way?

    The only way to protect our privacy rights is for Congress to pass a law that tells everyone working in the NSA to leave Americans alone. Anyone caught spying on Americans without proper wants and warrants from a court of law should be sentenced to a minimum of 20 years in prison and that includes the political appointees of the President. And I mean any President, not just the Obummer we have now.

    • Well there's the rub. There are a lot of people who have somehow become Americans over f***ing night and they don't have any right to be here or any rights under our Constitution, for that matter and that just f***ing rubs progressives the wrong way; hence this BS legislation the RINO's aren't doing anything to stop and the health care bomb they're not defusing, etc., etc. In my opinion, some of these so-called Americans need to have a camera shoved up their asses to see what they're up to, but leave it to the liberals to 'feel' it's only 'fair' to have everybody subjected to the same indignities as our nation's enemies, or is that enemas?

  • As a previous member of the COMINT community, I can live with this better that I can with an amendment that would prevent us the use of our existing technologies and spy toys. I want to be able to continue to listen to the bad guys, but I don't want average middle class Americans being targeted as if they were common criminals or terrorists...unless they actually are. If they're patriots trying to protect their God-given rights as expressed in the Constitution, I don't want an over-reaching Federal bureaucracy thinking it can step on the little people just because it thinks it has all of the guns and all of the leeches supporting it. That shit can change in the blink of an eye.
