The Tesla will not be popular in "Love Bug" infested Florida. They will only get 50,000 bugs per mile per week. You could push the car faster.

There are so many things that can screw with this kind of sensor, that it's probably a good idea to stop production.
What do you do if a plastic bag blows up over the sensor? What about leaves or other debris? Anything can screw with this.
So if a truck throws a rock, and it happens to hit one of these radar sensors, how many thousands does it cost to get it replaced?
Is this what the tech crowd calls a bug?
I kind of hope some fool driving one of these "self driving" cars runs into my old F-250. Not only would it destroy their car, I can sue them for an outrageous amount of money to restore my truck! It's called distracted driving, just like the fool was texting or talking on a cell phone.
I'll just keep on driving my own truck, thanks.
When this gets around the moth community, there's going to be all-out war on self-driving cars. Especially when the Islamic terrorist moths hear about it.
So you don't learn how to drive and concentrate on how you want to mod your genitals. When this car comes to a road that isn't complaint with their technology, what do you do? Call AAA to come tow you past? Drive the car yourself with your weak (even for California) driving skills?
A moth? How about road grime or heavy frost? Call in late for work? What about an ambulance.
Doing human tasks is hard because the tasks are hard. We deal with nearly infinite variations in the environment. Sure, sometime I think I am in a dumb-ass parade when I drive around- but just wait until HAL takes over.
Will these cars speed, or just go the speed limit? Yep, that be accepted.
If an accident is imminent, will a car fight for its owner, or will the car collective determine who is most expendable. Serious injuries to a bus load of kids or kill one driver?
When the system goes tits-up, do you expect the 'driver' to drive? With little to no practice in what is probably going to be adverse conditions.
That's just off the top of my head and not getting into who is at fault for accidents. People also say that the driverless cars are not good if you get car sick because of the way that they drive.
