Sears is, and always has been overpriced. When I went pricing new appliances, they were on average $200+ more expensive than anywhere else.
K-Mart always was Wal-Mart without the quality.
JC Penney was always mediocre at best. The only thing keeping them alive was their credit card, and ridiculously high credit limits.
They have to have ridiculously high limits in order to sell their overpriced shit! And the vicious cycle begins,

I hate malls. Sterile, over-priced, full of bratty little teeny-boppers looking at other little teeny-boppers. And none of them seem to have cookie stores anymore, the only thing I liked about them.
I hate shopping - period. Malls are crowded, grocery stores are full of crazed women running around with shopping carts at excessive speeds and fat women blocking half the aisle with their cart and the other half with their ass.
And at La Grocery, let's not forget the woman in front of you, hair and nails all done up, with SIX separate orders that she is paying with food stamps! GGGGGRRRRRRRR.
And NONE of it is food that was allowed to be purchased with food stamps back when we were kids.
IE: Mountain Dew, Chips, Candy, Hostess Cupcakes, etc.
I did have ONE good experience related to the grocery store lately. Having found the cutest checker in the store, I asked her if she'd ever done any modeling. No? You should. Gave her my card.

I have a 2 layer system of security.
I don't pay anything through my bank or debit card directly, I use a paypal debit card. All transactions are emailed to me the minute they are made, but it takes 2-3 days for them to get the money from my bank. That gives me time to put a stop to the use of my card if it is stolen. I only use that card or cash.
