The lion used in the original 'MGM' movie logo killed its trainer and two assistants the day after the logo was filmed.
This is untrue, they were actually killed by an orca in the next studio, while the poor lion watched. Traumatized, the lion never roared again.

I getcha MGAP. Many years ago, hadda be first half of the 80s, first time I saw her I thought she was attractive. Sort of a handsome woman, and not in the Kieth Richards sense that I usually follow that phrase with. She had a great smile & nice features before that bulb on the end of her shnozzle filled in. Back then I thought if she had a little more of a glamourpuss makeup job she'd have been hot. This all preceded my awareness of the evils of the media, islam and my wife, all of which have been obviated over these last 20 years. Now Kieth is looking about the same as this bitch.

I remember her covering First Iraq from a hotel right in Bagdad. Very insightful and penetrating. Every other line was about how loud the bombs were.
Yeah, that's where she got famous. I'm sure the brilliant geographers at CNN thought assigning an Iranian to a war in Iraq was a stroke of genius. Both countries start with an "i" after all. Never mind that the languages are entirely different and they've hated each others guts for about ten thousand years. It was kind of like sending a journalist from Red China to cover Tibetan independence issues. Or sending a Pakistani to cover the Mumbai terrorist attack.
Or a Japanese reporter to cover the anniversary of the Rape of Nanjing.
