• Not to worry, if it REALLY looks like the Dems will be effectively slaughtered in the midterms, the Ebola threat, which has conveniently insinuated itself here, in spite of all assurances that it wasn't a problem, will be justification enough for martial law and suspending the elections. • All bets are off as to whether the GOP will be able to take advantage of that. My guess is that a slew of third party candidates will effectively enough split the opposition vote to enable the Democrats to hold on to most of their seats.
