Just wait folks, it won't be long before we will be hearing nonsense like "Denzel is an Uncle Tom" or "he is betraying his race." You know, the usual crap we hear when a black man stands up against the liberal establishment and speaks his mind.
And some nobody will accuse him of sexual crmes, which will escalate until people think he's Jesse Jackson.
Denzel Washington is one of the last of a dying breed in Hollywood, actors with morals and integrity.
Mr Washington is one of the best actors in the business. I love hearing good stuff like this about him off the screen. I agree with you JP. I will see movies just because Denzel is in it. And, damn, he gets better looking as he gets older.

Denzil Washington has spoken what needed to be said. The left will have a hissy fit over this. Therefore, good. He needs to speak out more and challenge the so called reverends of the left at every turn.
He's been saying this for years. He will be alright. He has so much pull, he is one of the most bankable actors and now that he is older he can retire and nobody can do anything about it.

Two actors I will go to see even when the subject of the movie seems iffy, because their movies are always good: Bruce Willis and Denzel Washington.
There was a rumor ten or fifteen years ago that Denzel's wife said she didn't want him making a movie with Halle Berry because Halle had said something about Denzel being hot -- for whatever reason his wife didn't like the way she said it. And according to the rumor Denzel was honoring his wife's wish: no movies with Halle. I liked him even more for that. It's a reasonable request, there's plenty of other actresses to work with, and your wife and family are more important than your co-workers.
You're right. He is wealthy, bankable, and likable. He will be just fine.
