He's a plastic surgeon! How many emergency cases does he get?! OK, I know a lot of reconstructive surgery is needed for accidents etc. but I doubt any plastic surgeon lives off purely necessary work.
Well, I'm sure the whole trade took a dive when we lost Joan Rivers.
I know a couple of guys like this who also rotate through emergency rooms when not doing plastic surgery....they do it to keep their skills sharp....
I'm sure there is a higher incidence of reconstructive surgery in Alaska than just about anywhere else in the US, just based on the danger of the jobs that are commonplace up there.
