Allen West demands recount. According to West’s campaign, “Late last night Congressman West maintained a districtwide lead of nearly 2,000 votes until the St. Lucie County Supervisor of Elections ‘recounted’ thousands of early ballots. Following that ‘recount’ Congressman West trailed by 2,400 votes.” There’s a name for that, Mr. West. It’s called a Franken Count.

Yes babies are diseases and problems even if the disease and the problem was acquired through personal decisions. I don't need to pay for a woman's birth control nor abortion. Why should I? We have our own frnken vote going on here in Texas. There is a huge district that runs from west San Antonio all the way nearly to El Paso. A Republican won the seat a couple of elections back, so with this election we were inundated with PAC ads assuring us (well, them) that the Republican was for "them" and the Democrate was for "us." The ads bitched incessantly about how Washington the Republican was and how for Texas the Democrat was. The Democrat served in State government, and voted 100% against things like energy jobs, a real sore point in Texas. He never opened his yap about what he had done, but had all these sad sack stories about how his father couldn't go to school becaue he was Hispanic, that he raised his family on the money from a little restaurant, and the Candidate had to work to get through college. Not a word about his record. It was like his DAD was the one running. So the Republican is ahead well into the night. Then we wake up and the Democrate won. Around 9000 votes difference out of some 92000 cast. But then we find out in some counties they aere counting 1 Democratic vote 2,3, 4 times, that they were counting Xerox copies of ballots, provisional ballots have not been counted, nor have military absentee votes been counted, So the Republican guys says wait a minute, maybe I didn't really lose and the circus has begun. I don't thnk we will now who won for months!

And the Republican has folded. He still claims there were "irreguarities" but says a recount would cost tto much money and take too much time, thus being bad for the constituents in that district. Sounds like someone above his pay grade gave him a sharp rap on the knuckles.

And I missed this the first time, "...St. Lucie County and has filed a motion to impound voting machines and for a hand recount of ballots due to irregularities." He wants the machines and ballots impounded so they can't touch 'em. We'll see.
That's some fascinating shit. Win or lose, they better not be expecting Allen West to roll over and play dead. He'll fight to the end if he thinks he's being screwed and he won't worry about who he offends. I wish we had more people like him in the Republican Party.

I believe Florida, as well as several other states suffered a great deal of fraud and downright cheating in this election.
Generally Republicans fare poorly in these recount situations. The bureaucrats doing the counting are predominately liberals and Democrats and willing to cheat outrageously. West already lost 4,400 in this irregular recount-of-convenience by the supervisor of elections. Subsequent recounts will go equally badly if he doesn't hire a million lawyers to supervise.
