• That poetry from the late Miss Maya reads like crappy 10th grade creative writing class.

• We could have a bunch of third grade children run the country better.

• I'm getting an ache in my neck from shaking my head so much. Lately, it feels like we have somehow elevated the very dumbest people in America to our top leadership positions. In order of succession to the presidency: Barack Obama, who never held a real job; Joe Biden, who's had brain surgery twice and wasn't that bright to begin with; John Boehner, who cries every time he tries to express something meaningful; 74-year-old Leaky Leahy, whose claim to fame is breaking Intelligence Committee rules by leaking a report to the newspapers about Iran-Contra during the Reagan administration; John Kerry, who somehow was awarded multiple Purple Hearts and left Vietnam early without ever needing more than a Band-Aid, and then testified falsely about his own fellow soldiers, and who actually makes Biden look smart; Jacob Lew, who had to learn to sign his name when he was nominated to head the Treasury Department; Chuck Hagel, the anti-Semitic numbskull who never got one thing right in foreign affairs in his whole life; and then Eric Holder, the most dishonest and political Attorney General to ever hold the office.

  Who on that list offers us a ray of hope?

  • You forgot EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson. And the freak at Energy. I could go on (Arne Duncan at Education, Susan Rice, National Security Advisor) but the truth is you are right. BHO has surrounded himself with the worst characters with the least amount of competency. The other thing they have in common is they hate this country with a passion. Why else would they be trying to transform it?

    • Well, yeah, he surrounds himself with morons, but I was going down the list in order of succession. After Holder comes Sally Jewell (Secretary of Interior), Tom Vilsack (Agriculture), Penny Pritzker (Commerce), and then possibly the most frightening of all, Thomas Perez, Labor Secretary, who was previously the front man for Holder's civil rights abuses. Perez is a committed communist who never met a white man he thought deserved a civil right - a liar and a government thug.

    • The trick this fool uses to convince himself of just how smart he is...is to surround himself with morons. He's done an excellent job of that. Gotta be good at something I guess.

  • The only ray of hope I can find is the hope that the Grim Reaper gets bored and takes them all out in one fell swoop.

• PALM SPRINGS – (INT) – President Obama’s visit to the Inland Empire is taking shape.

  It’s the President’s third visit to the IE the past 12-months. His previous ones took him to the Sunnylands estate at Rancho Mirage for meetings with heads of state from China and Jordan.

  Reporter Gene Nichols says President Obama and the First Lady will arrive Friday for a Father’s Day weekend of rest, speech-making and fund-raising.

  On Saturday, he goes to Orange County for the commencement ceremony at UC Irvine followed by a fund-raiser in Laguna Beach. The Obamas return to the Coachella Valley Saturday evening. Air Force One returns to Washington, DC on Monday.
