Apple Watch doesn’t work if you have tattoos

Apple Watch doesn’t work if you have tattoos. Hmm, this sounds like the sort of product failure that happens when a company’s CEO is more concerned with gay rights and windmills than the actual business of the company.

  • Anyone that wastes their hard earned money on a "watch" like this deserves to get old and be forced to live on cat food because they have no money. Too many people these days have grown up in the "lap of luxury" and think money grows on trees, or something. They waste it on all the latest gadgets, never understanding that one day they might want to retire. But, they won't be able too because they wasted their cash on stupid things like this Apple watch.

Yes, I have a new computer. I live in a very rural part of the state and it is how I stay in touch with the world, like family and my friends here. The only reason I bought it was the old XP I had finally took a dump. I now have a HP 19 with Windows 8 that I paid $385.00 for. It will last me the next ten years, if I live that long, and works just fine. Why in the world would anyone spend more than that for a watch that may not work all the time anyway? To an old country boy who grew up dirt poor it makes no sense.

    • The only thing I will suggest to you is to get expanded memory for your computer, and make sure to clean up the cookies every once in a while. It will make it last much longer, and run faster, even when it gets clogged up with stupid crap.

  • I think it is HILARIOUS that these redicously tatted up kids can't use the stupid watch that they are lusting for! BWAHAHAHAHA

  • Even if I were a billionaire, I'd still consider Apple products to be overpriced junk, and refuse to ever buy an I-anything.

    • And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is why I think Cook will be the end of Apple. Even Apple lovers, most of them, will admit that the company's products are over priced. Sometimes I can't believe how over priced they are. Every time I buy a new computer I look at Apple because the designs are so cool, but when I realize how little I'm getting from Apple compared to what I can get in a PC for the same price, I always decide, "Maybe someday when I have Rush Limbaugh money." So what you have is a company whose products require the perception of cachet and a whole bunch of irrational customer loyalty in order to sell. Now you hire a CEO who is out there promoting gay marriage and spending Apple's accumulated cash on solar farms? Thereby insulting and irritating half of his company's customer base? It's mind bogglingly stupid and self-destructive.

My prediction: in five years Apple will be on the ropes, frantically trying to find its next market niche, wondering what happened, and studying IBM's multi-decade downsizing efforts. If you own Apple stock, sell now.

They're counting on the segment of the population that has always been their primary consumer base, the mind bogglingly stupid, young hipsters, gay trendsetters, and basic morons with more money than sense.

        • I used to argue all the time with a dipstick on FB, who was not only a liberal, he was illiterate, at least that's how he came across when you read his written words. So, just to be a dick, I continuously corrected his spelling, and the use of the wrong words. He claimed that if I could afford an I-phone, I'd know that it has auto-correct, which apparently changes there to they're on it's own. Uh, moron, my Droid also has it, and if you type there, it won't change it.

      • Good points as he seems to follow Starbucks CEO, Howard Schultz's, pattern of undermining the best interests of his company.

        • Could not ship all the watches on time, Apple stock went down the shitter on wall street and took a part of the market with it, about 190 points worth...This turns into a golden turd, which I think it will, Apple could really suffer, and I could care less.

          • Yeah, but the CEO is the darling of California because he's building a giant solar farm to power corporate headquarters! Who cares about profits?

    • I have several self-winders. Frankly my Casio keeps better time, my phone keeps even better time. I seldom wear a watch anymore to be honest I just use the phone.

      • If you do renaissance faires for a living, you can't show up with a big white band across your wrist from wearing a watch. I haven't owned one in fifteen years.

  • 1. I refuse to own anything made by Apple.
    2. I have tattoos.
    3. The damned thing breaks easier than an egg.

Nothing else needs to be said.

  • Like I'm going to spend $500 bucks on a device that will shatter the first time I bump my arm into a table. And I'm sure it's full of all kinds of tracking options for Apple, that they can sell to the highest bidder, like your Health Insurance Company.

  • About half a century ago I already possessed cordless rechargeable virtual reality technology that allowed me to view, touch, and interact with Raquel Welch for hours at a time, anytime I wanted. It was called imagination.

  • I am surprised it also "doesn't work" if you own a Christian bakery, own an SUV, Don't own a rainbow flag, or vote Republican.

Now their will be idiots on the road killed by playing with their watch, and the gentle thugs will be stealing them by the boatload like they do with I phones. I would like to see how one of these overpriced pieces of modern technology would stand up to say a .308 round..

    • I watched on TV some woman put one on the kitchen counter and drop a frying pan from like a foot above. The screen cracked. I wonder how much Apple's going to pay to replace screens.

      • $200.
Oh, wait! You asked how much APPLE was going to pay to replace the screens, not the CONSUMER!!

  • I'm an Apple fanboy through and through. I'm able to ignore the hypocritical politics of the company, Cook and even their "hipster" geared advertising. But a watch that you need to sync with your iPhone AND put on a charger? Sorry Timbo, but you strike out with this one. The technology to make this a stand alone Dick Tracy device doesn't exist.

    • And when I read the link and learned that it's constantly beaming infrared into your wrist, I thought, "Isn't that going to make the wearer's wrist awfully warm?"
