• The rampant buggery in the Islamic Middle East makes you wonder how much of their irrational rage can be traced to sexual abuse when they were boys.

  • I wonder if the ability for Muslim men to have four wives makes for a lot of father-abandoned boys who act out homosexually because they are starved for a father's love and confused about their masculinity.

    • Interesting observation, certainly possible. BTW, one story I heard -not something I saw myself - is that up and down the Suez Canal, you get the local boat crews riding along; if your ship has some problem, they take your mooring lines and carry them alongside to the canal walls where you can tie up and pull in, and not jeopardize traffic. Almost always, a boy of about 12 or13 is part of the crew, and sometimes the adults will offer his "services" to the ship's crew. (I was up and down the Suez a few times, but never saw this personally.) Also in West Africa, when unloading a ship, local longshoremen unload the ship: at lunch and other break times, a young boy will bring around tea and food, and evidently other recreation. Cleaning up after WA ports, more than once we found used rubbers with sh1tty smears on them.

• What do you expect from a Muslim? Women and children must bend to the will of the men, they are merely toys or slaves to the master of the house. No other animal on this earth would maim or kill his child because he thinks he/she has shamed the family in some way.

  The rich Muslims are allowed to take advantage of the poor. A poor Muslim is allowed to "sell" his child, boy or girl, to a rich man as an indentured servant. How that child is used or abused is none of his concern. If the child is returned to the family because he/she did not want to play the rich mans games the father has every right to kill the child for shaming the family.

  This is the religion of peach and harmony? In a pigs ass it is. Too bad Arafat didn't die much earlier. If he had who knows how much could have been accomplished in the the Arab world.

• Yeah, this was a shocking "what if" story long, long ago. Now we know about "dancing boys" in the Muslim world, and we know that their hatred of homosexuals is all for show. They're gayer than anyone else.

• Not totally surprising. Casual buggery is actually fairly common through the Arab world and Africa. That's one reason AIDS is spread so widely through the straight population as well, in Africa. Lemme tell ya, I spent quite a few years in the merchant marine on ships running to the some of the worst ports of West Africa, and some of the things we observed with our own eyes just aint fittin' to tell in mixed company.
