In other news - I'm glad to see Santorum getting a bit of traction. I don;t care what his creds may be, I just don;t like Newt. If nothing else, he's a has-been.
Romney doesn't thrill me- or any of us I guess- on the other hand, Ann Coulter certainly seems to be comfortable with him, and that carries enough weight with me to at least be the same.

I like Ann Coulter and have several of her books. I confess to being somewhat perplexed about and disappointed in how excited she is about Romney. I'll check the Romney box if it comes to it next year, but without much excitement.
She seems to have rationalized her stance by the "anyone but Obama" rule. I get it, but not in the primary.
Finally! The long awaited Santorum surge seems to be underway in Iowa. A CNN poll has him in third with 16% today. I always thought Santorum was too strong of a candidate not to catch on at some point. Gingrich is in fourth with 14%. Romney leads with 25%, followed by Paul with 22%. It is said that polls in Iowa are underestimating the strength of Paul because Democrats and Independents are said to be getting ready to caucus for him.

I always thought it was a joke that Specter called himself a Republican while not supporting the policies of Republican Presidents the majority of the time. It angered me in 2004 when Bush and Santorum endorsed Specter against primary challenger Pat Toomey. Specter won the primary by 1.7%. Still, I've been hoping Santorum would catch on in the Republican presidential race. I'll let bygones be bygones with Santorum since Toomey is now in the Senate. And then Specter trashed the Republicans and switched parties before he went down to Sestak in the Democratic primary.
