Atlanta fire chief suspended without pay for being a Christian. On a positive note, this former member of the Obama administration is no doubt reconsidering his loyalty to the Democrat Party. If he’s not, he’s too dumb to worry about.

As a member of the Fire Dept he works for the City of Atlanta. Like a Cop or Soldier he is technically on the job 24/7
His "Opinion" no matter how popular or stupid should be kept to himself.
How many of the people who are outraged by his suspension would react the same if the Cheif of Police wrote a book saying that all heterosexuals are “vile,” “vulgar”, and “inappropriate”?

I don't make it my business to persecute people whose lifestyle differ from my own even if I don't agree. As long as he is able to do his job effectively, economically and with great equanimity (as long as it is possible), his beliefs or lifestyle should not be an issue.

Seems to me this is an open-and-shut lawsuit waiting to happen. The guy wrote a book before he was even fire chief, he expressed his religious views, and that's a problem for the city how?
Must not have been a problem when they promoted him, looks like some "grubers" found out about it after his promotion and when in and made a lisping complaint to the city....waaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Now if he had advocated screwing goats and young children and abusing women, there would be no problem.
