Backlash Against Wendy’s, Taco Bell for Cutting Hours and Blaming Obamacare: So to be clear . . . Obama has driven our cost of living through the roof, just presided over a very painful tax increase and is looking for even more ways to gut the middle class in his never ending quest to pay off cronies and privileged voters. Yet we’re supposed to be upset at Wendy’s and Taco Bell for taking steps to keep from punishing all the rest of us with another price increase. If this were any more absurd we’d have to change our names to Yossarian and suit up for the 22nd mission.

  • I have a relative that worked full time at a municipal liquor store. Ocommie supporter at that. Just got her hours cut to 29/week. Guess why. Corporate greed you say. I do believe a municipal liquor store is operated by the city therefore a govt entity. With fewer hours, that put her in financial trouble. I have to hand it to her though, she went right out and found an additional job to make up for the hours. Neither though will allow more than 29 hrs per week. Will she vote for Ocommie in 2016? Most likely.

  • It won't take too long before the government determines the avoidance of suffering for large corporations through attrition of this nature is illegal. These large corporations will have to be nationalized in order to force fairness across the land. That the franchisees are actually the ones taking the risk and losing their butts is of no consequence to the people that don't understand anything that is not explained by the propaganda media. They don't need to understand that either, since everybody knows it is all just the rich that caused all their problems. A franchise owner must be rich because he owns the franchise and his car and shoes are shiny.

  • These employers are not "avoiding" ObamaCare. Nobody can "avoid" ObamaCare since Roberts said it was a tax. These employers are simply doing what most other narrow-margin businesses do when costs go up, they find a way to cut them to stay in business. Think of it this way: if the costs imposed by ObamaCare force them to go OUT of business, these employees (actually, ALL their employees) will still be in the same boat, and that boat is the one ObamaCare placed them in, REQUIRING them to buy health insurance whether they want it or not. Nobody avoids the Spanish Inquisition or ObamaCare. And FU, Hollywood retards. I usually don't eat at Wendy's or Taco Bell but I'll go out of my way to do so now.

  • Who here wants a $30.00 McD's value meal? Who wants to pay $10 for a burrito (one) at Taco Bell? Who wants to pay $5 for a small frostee at a Wendy's?

    Businesses know that people are not going to their restaurants if the prices go through the roof. The paychecks WON'T get higher and even if they are they will be eaten up by inflation, SS and taxes. Then when everything else goes up including the taxes the money will continue to be eaten up. Why can't people understand this?

    Addition: I guess I have my answer as to who is stalking me as I barely posted this and the creep answered. If you want a girlfriend to pay attention to you I am sure that there are a lot of blow up dolls you can purchase freak. I don't like you go away.

          So, what you are telling me is that you built your own computer from silicon that you mined yourself, generate your own electricity, created your own ISP, grow your own food, raise your own beef, pork, and poultry, walk to the stream and get water in a bucket you made by hand, and live in a house that you built yourself, with materials you created from thin air?
          Railing against corporate greed is all well and good when you back it up with actions, you have no chance of convincing us that you have done anything but complained, your actions prove that, or you wouldn't be here commenting.

    • I don't like Taco Hell, haven't eaten there since the 1980's. I love Wendy's. I will now go out of my way to eat at Wendy's, and shop at Hobby Lobby.
