Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh is a thief. But at least she’s a slick thief. Somehow she got the University of Maryland Medical System and the Baltimore school system to buy tens of thousands of her self-published children’s book, Healthy Holly: Fruits Come in Colors Like the Rainbow… most of which are sitting in warehouses where nobody knows what to do with them.

So here's the word: she suddenly got "sick" after the governor asked for an investigation. Uh huh. As it turns out, she controlled a city board that awarded the hospital system a $48 million contract for health insurance on city employees. Before the city awarded that contract, the hospital coincidentally decided to buy 100,000 copies of her self-published children's book.
But it gets worse. There were eight other members of that city board that also got rewarded with various and sundry contracts with the hospital system... so city officials were milking that hospital for all the personal bribes they could get. THIS is why our major cities are a mess.
Just read that she is taking an "indefinite leave of absence" ( paid no doubt, because after all she's broke, as are all Democrats) due to pneumonia. 🙄
Because of pneumonia? Or because of new-money-in-ya bank account she never earned?
Now it turns out many of these 100,000 books may not have ever been delivered. What is that called, when a board member at a university gets five $100,000 checks for a product she didn't even bother to deliver?

That's a lot of books and I can't imagine what a hospital could possibly do with that many copies of one children's book. No wonder there's so many of them sitting in warehouses.

Good point. She's got "fruits" and "rainbow" in the same book title, like she's calling gay people fruits. I am offended for all my LGBTQABC brothers and sisters.
