• There should be just one follow-up question - "do you actually believe that?" best asked off the record, in private.

  1. If she does not, which of course she would not say publicly, we can understand that. She knows full well what the ramifications of both the riots, and possibly more so her reactions to the riots, can have on the City of Baltimore. It's standing on the precipice of turning into Detroit. Everything depends on what the gov't does next. So we can move on with that.

  2. If she does, then the recall process should be started immediately. Regardless of anything else, of any other policy positions, of any good intentions, anyone that stupid as to be ignorant of causes and effects, or actions and consequences in the real world, is too dangerous to be assistant manager at a Jack-In-the-Box, much less occupy a position of power such as mayor of a major (for now) US city.

• I think the proper mantra should be: "If you burn it, we will not come!" Absolutely NO federal aid! No state, local, or county aid! Prosecute the guilty as homegrown terrorists, strip them of their citizenship and ship them off to Gitmo! If it's found out that they are actually marxist-progressive traitors--execute them and bill their families for the cost of incarceration, execution and internment.

        • Who would hire them? Nobody wants to see someone's ass hanging out of their pants when they come into the business. No businessman is going to hire a person who can't read or work simple math problems, like counting out change for a purchase. Who wants to hire someone to dig a ditch when they are too dumb to know which end of the shovel goes in the ground?

          My thought is they would make perfect gooberment employees.

  This is the private sector that actually has to make a profit. Insurance rates will have exploded. Suppliers will raise prices because what delivery person would not want hazardous pay to go into the war zone. Oh and their insurance rates are going to explode. Plus the cost of rebuilding and the opportunity costs flushed down the drain.

  I predict less than 2% of the burned businesses will reopen. Those will only e the ones that get gubmint grants. No if the business had insurance they are skipping town to where civilized and decent people live and control government.
