If I ever get to the stage where I really "get" the Democrats, really understand what they're motivations are, I hope I still have the sense left to kill myself.

That's a given. I was talking about being able to carry a national election now that the novelty has worn off. She has to be able to beat the media over the head every time on every issue to overcome how dishonestly they'd portray her.
Personally, i could list half a dozen IHTMers who would be more suited for the Presidency than Palin. She has never impressed me, while some posters here have. The Republican party should steer clear of putting her up for the highest office in the land.
I agree, proper seasoning's the secret. I don't like her positions, but look at the difference in the country-bumpkin of the first campaign and Hillary today. If you were getting in the Republican VP pool, who would your dollar be on?
I'd think that Rubio or Ryan have to be in contention. Possibly one of the new governers such as Nikki Haley or Bob McDonnell from Virginia.
