Bill de Blasio’s Meeting With NYPD Leadership Yields ‘No Resolve’. This is no surprise. Perhaps the police should start backing Republicans. Having city hall support is more imporant than making another 50 cents an hour, especially if you’re dead and can’t spend it.

de Blowhard just doesn't get it, he is hated by those in blue. Now that the slow down of writing "summons" for money has started to hit the pocket book of NYC, de Blowhard has to try and repair that bridge he sat on fire and burnt to the ground. Every person in the meeting from NYPD should have turned their chairs around and force de Blowhard to talk with their backs to him.
The ONLY reason he met with them was to be able to brag later that he "tried" to get along but the Police are sooo bad they didn't agree with him and kiss his ass. It was to score political points and say "see I told you so"...How much you wanna bet Comrade Wilhelm does not meet with NYPD again.
He'll just send his new assistant mayor Al Sharp ton to talk with the police.
So Comrade de Blasio "...didn't see any connection..." between the assassination of two cops and mobs chanting about "dead cops". Progressives frequently have problems seeing connections when the connectivity doesn't match the narrative.
Being able to distance yourself & oppose the policies/actions that cause problems is a talent that progressives have. The mayor will admit that he is the problem, even though he has a very long track record of ALWAYS being on the wrong side of the issue.
