Bill Maher getting a taste of how conservatives are treated. Because of recent opinions he’s expressed about Muslims, there is an effort underway to rescind his invitation to speak at UC Berkeley’s fall commencement. Poor guy, he’ll need to be re-assimilated into the hive before the Borg will find him palatable again.

Bill - I would suggest that you get together with Martha Stewart. Maybe do lunch. Compare notes - see who it is/was that has/had your back. Then have a chat with former radical David Horowitz. Meet with formerly liberal reporter John Stossel. Talk with Dennis Miller. Think this one through. Do the math.
Maher might be too wedded to his positions to change his opinions but I think he will see that the tent is actually much larger when you move away from the tolerant and inclusive crowd.
Maher is actually consistent on his view of religion, unlike most leftist progressives. They will smash Christianity at every turn, but they will bend over backwards to not offend Islam at all. Maher doesn't care, he sees Islam as shit & says so. I actually respect that. I have a feeling that more then a few Hollywood types who agree with Ben Affleck, but he just happened to the idiot who got taken down. It amazes me that more who claim to loathe religion who can't stand up & call out Islam for it's faults.
yes, if ... But being as that he really is too wedded to his ideas, he won't see that. Because one of those ideas is that they are right (except for that muslim thingie, but ...) and everyone else is wrong. So he (they) doesn't really see the tent as being larger. There is only one kind of person in it - the wrong kind.
