• Anybody know how much longer Bloomtard is going to be mayor? Once he's out of office, and no longer has protection from the paid thugs known as the NYPD, watch how fast he shuts up and goes away.

• The control freaks like Bloomberg, virtually all in the democrat party, and many in the republican party do not appear stupid. I think their efforts to control things are merely tests to see how much the masses will put up with before they seriously oppose their leaders. So banning salt, big sodas, etc. are simple tests of their control powers. Bigger issues, like "assault weapons" control, are larger scale tests. In these they are seeing what level of money and propaganda efforts it will take to control guns. This one is really important to them because it is the only barrier to their total control. When the latest assault weapons ban fizzled, the control freaks looked at the large effort they put into this test and probably determined the time is not yet here for total control. More propaganda prep work is needed before trying again at the next selected tragedy. Had the assault weapon ban been a big success, meaning had the control freaks demonstrated the ability to bully the opposition into silence and acquiescence, we'd be into the next phases of gun control, prepping for a total ban and confiscation effort. So I look at each "on the surface stupid" ban by these control freaks as a test of their powers. None of them care what size soda you drink, they only care about their ability to control all.

    Meaning they will have to plan and execute a much bigger and horrific execution in order to get the sheeple to agree to gun confiscation.
    The frequency and increasing horror of the recent shootings stink of a pre-planned series.
    Did anyone check to see if any of the F&F guns were used in these attacks?

• So, even if some terrorist can get together the materials to make a bomb, they're going to be forced to abandon their plans just because they don't have a sparkler to light a cheap fireworks fuse, even though they can buy butane lighters or make a simple wax fuse in about 30 seconds.     As a kid, I experimented with fireworks, and was very disappointed in the results with the sparklers.

• The headline is a tad misleading -- Bloomie isn't trying to "ban sparklers." Sparklers are ALREADY ILLEGAL in all of NY state. He is opposing a bill which will un-ban them in the rest of the state -- somewhat. Very slightly somewhat.
