Bonfire of the Absurdities: After 35 year career writing software for IBM mainframes, am now self-employed contractor thinking of joining a union and striking for higher wages. Amateur investor who has accumulated a small fortune in the market after starting out years ago with a large one. For recreation, I run, hike, kayak and play tennis but will not consider synchronized swimming under any circumstances.

I'll settle for his plane to come up missing on his regular weekend trip to the Bermuda. He goes there EVERY weekend.

Have you ever SPOKEN to someone from the Northeast? Every one of them is a trembling, urinating chihuahua subject to YEARS of very expensive therapy just to survive the week. At least the urban ones are. THey come all to pieces over a skinned knee, let alone a maimed limb. They are neurotic as hell and that seems to drive their need for ever more government control to make them feel safe. And they are very provential. They know their area well, but step outside that area and they are dumb as stumps! Seriously, its sad!

Okay, repeal the 17th amendment.
NYC elected him not just once, or twice, but allowed him to change the law to elect him thrice. Me thinks they are into self torture and get what they deserve.... However, he has $$ and is trying to inflict that same pain across the country to the rest of us.
'Cause people in the "olden days" never had any dangers to face. Right.
What a flabby, lazy, easily frightened culture we have become. Every time there's a loud noise we have to "do something!" We need drastic change, because it's just too difficult to see danger as a part of living in a free society. (And I guess when you're an atheist, dying is just the worstest, worstest, worstest thing that can ever happen.)
I remember when the Challenger exploded on takeoff and people were saying, "We should stop space exploration! It's too dangerous!" OMG! Seven people died! Seven people!
Call me an extremist, but I don't want to change my interpretation of the Constitution because of 3 deaths. More than 3 people died choking on junk food in the time it took me to write this.
I guess we don't need an amendment to change the 'interpretation' of the Constitution, just a couple more highly evolved Progressive Supreme Court Justices. I'd like to see a Constitutional 'interpretation' which would prevent Mayor Nannyberg from ever opening his mouth in public again.
Or a few well placed Executive orders from the White House.
