A group of thieves may have set the standard for audacity by stealing a 50-foot-long bridge. State police said the bridge was stolen between Sept. 27 and Oct. 5 in North Beaver Twp, PA. The theft was discovered shortly after 9 a.m. Wednesday. A bridge to nowhere… well, really a road to nowhere now that there’s no bridge. But at least replacing it should be one shovel-ready infrastructure project that can get underway this century.

I saw this soon after it went up and even after another night with the insomnia demon, I'm still speechless.
Attention all cars, be on the lookout for a fifty foot bridge, taken sometime in the last week. The bridge is described as steel, gray in color and may be near the river. A reward is being offered for the safe return of the bridge...That is all.
Okay so now if I were a cop (and I am) I would be poking around the local recycle centers to see if some of them Obama greenies decided to recycle it and buy some crack....
What the hell are they going to do with it? And no one noticed a fifty foot BRIDGE traveling down the road?
They cut it up and sell it as scrap metal. It's happening all over the country, mostly with copper (lighter, easier to cut and steal, more valuable per pound) but steel and iron is also stolen. Those of us who can remember as kids finding deposit bottles and turning them in to the store to get 2 cents back each? Well, this is just like that only the stuff these people "find" is still being used. Good, high-paying jobs in Barack Obama's "things work great when government sits on your face" economy.
